The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Wyndrum, not in front of the screens today, but if you have L2 and are seeing good absorption at 270, and sells being mopped up then all good we go higher, frankly I wouldn't day trade this one, high spread, low vol, just stick with it, showing real signs of strength the last couple of weeks
I have a target of 1000, 5yrs will add on the way up
You may get people holding a longterm position "investment" but choose to trade around it at key levels, others taking a short term hedge with options to protect their portfolio as volatility rises, some add to winning positions as they go up, some peel off positions in tranches leaving a small amount to run, all classed I guess as trading but so many different variables and timeframes. Day trading though, no open positions overnight, can be from 1 min to a couple of hours, personally I stay well away, high cost of doing business
or is it just a bounce before the next leg lower, hard to tell, so much fiscal stimulus supporting risk but I do wonder whether indices could retest the march lows. Happy to be invested in Boo though,
Boo, is one
I actually intend to sell half of my holding when/if we get to the year high then keep the other half hopefully for the next decade or more, BOO certainly has the cash to invest in more brands and has the potential to be one of the leaders in its sector in the future.
Morning all, just interested to see who on here sees FTSE testing the March lows at sub 5000, or do you think global fiscal stimulus is enough to support the index at 6000. I Personally am not really sure either way, although if the 6000 breaks panic selling may kick again. It's just really difficult balancing any sort of portfolio right now, you want max upside but protect against risk. I hold Boo at an average price of 237 and will be topping up should the price fall further. Good luck all.
Do your research, buy into weakness, patience is key, unless your very lucky you have to wait, months even years , price never goes up in a straight line, but BOO will get there, the fundamentals and business model is already in place, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
