In answer to your question, no I don't now of any person who has had the virus, and know nobody who has died from it. In context there are many things we can all die from this being one of them, however it is highly unlikely and if contracted the vast majority will recover.
My mother died very young from cancer, what do you say to all the cancer patients having their treatment delayed? No spoof I believe there is a virus but the govs interventions are grossly disproportionate.
Alex, I thought the same as you a long time ago, lock down the vulnerable until a vaccine is available, let the others get on with their lives, what the government and health advisors are doing right now is causing mass panic, confusion and probably irreparable damage to the economy, all of which may take decades to recover. It really is a shambles and there are too many people with misinformation about this so called killer virus...I think the latest stats are I have 0.06% of dying from it, that means I've more chance of getting killed by a bus. I'll take my chances.
Yes all to with the slavery issue, good news on that and the shackles will be released, that's the only thing I see holding us back right now, something to consider if the news gets any worse this will sell off immediately, so there is still some risk here, why I haven't added more than I feel comfortable with at this stage
All in all, people just need to get on with life, frankly driving me slowly insane this covid nonsense. Holding many great businesses back like this one, keep thinking we are making progress.....then the media starts again, relentless. I'm in at ave 128,GL all
I doubt that very much couchman, lockdown is advantageous for BOO, and as we get closer to results this will become more detached from market sentiment. If it does go below 300 it will be bought, good value there, GL all
Yes today is a key marker, institutions will be in the know, large bids coming in, price ticking up, always a good sign. If Boo is clean, im seeing £5, top slicing at 433, keeping the rest for £6 when the BOD can claim their bonus, GL all.
Yep, like some sort of financial torture in slow motion, I think we will just bounce around in a 10p range then massively gap up or gap down after the results. One thing is for sure there are alot of people watching this one so will be some serious moves after
I would only sell if I thought that sort of news would fundamentally change peoples (the average Boo customer) perception of the brand and therefore make a conscious decision not to buy from Boo. The social following is geared heavily toward celeb and reality stars, if they feel they cannot represent the brand, then the marketing stops, sales then drop. So it would depend on whether these celebs would see Boos reputation so tarnished that they would no longer want to be associated with the brand. Hasn't happened so far, but Boo are innocent so far....but if it does and complicity is proven which I doubt very much will happen then that sort of scenario could play out, and the share price would be decimated. Boo would then have a mountain to climb to earn trust and build PR, but then in that situation they could well be acquired by a large competitor.
Shadowfall are really going for it, suggesting FCF inflated by 65%, potential fraud, bad accounting practices, HMRC investigations, the list goes on. The media frenzy and publicity around BOO needs to be dealt with quickly the BOD need to silence this now, for me not enough is being done to calm sentiment here, this has been going on for weeks and still nothing, the share price is drifting down, have to say this is testing me I really believe in this company and the opportunity here just there still seems so much risk.
That's a key point Cookie, having recently expanded into homeware, that's just the start, other brands will be acquired, then theres the US, the future is very bright and for me although I will take maybe some profit off the table when / if we get to £4.33 I'm holding the rest long term.
We all have bad days Steve, Tesla's correction is overdone IMO, just buy another chunk, my portfolio at the moment is just treading water, up 5% down 5%, Boo for me has the largest return right now, have an average of 240, as always with investing medium to long term is always best. Getting frustrated at the moment but I know 18mts and onwards from now the returns should be worth it!
I do think valuations in the US are insane and we do need a correction over there but only maybe 10% agree I think this afternoon may well be risk off, in the scheme of things that is only healthy
I'm afraid Boo will be fairly mundane until we get an rns and the result of the investigation, may well drift with market sentiment. The further we drop the market will just reprice when news is released and the further we go up on glowing growth and rev. Just have to sit tight and watch price range. I think for the time being if the markets in the US go into to full on risk off mode this afternoon we may well dip below the £3 mark, not worried though, Boo will be bought below here, just hold tight when the rns drops there will be a huge move and volatility will pick up again as the institutions can then buy in properly.
We have lift off finally
