Looks like the Nat West price surge is partly related to the announcement of a special dividend of 16.8p per share after declaring an interim dividend of 3.5p per share. Wow! We can only dream… eh?

I felt that 150p was a key support level so good to see it remain intact yesterday at close of business. Hopefully , some continued upward movement today and next week with the continuation of Other Bank Results and probable Bank of England Base Rate increase.

On a related point, Nat West are absolutely flying this morning. Good Luck to any holders out there.

On the eve of Barclays results IG.com give a decent write up. Lloyds announce their results this morning, which may set the tone for the next few days?

Summary:

Good Evening kassam83, in theory, Barclays has already advised that it has set aside £450m to take account of the hit, buying back the securities. The share price reacted accordingly by going down at the time from memory. Therefore, theoretically, this announcement of a repurchase from 1st Aug 22 “should”:already be baked in the price.
