I'm new to AIM but from the 15-20 or so I've watched and a few I'm invested in, this seems the norm. Seen a few drop on good news, my best guess is prices rose on rumour of great news, then dropped when the news was good.
I'm certainly seeing the volatility of AIM and following my error of judgement buying high, am taking a much more cautious approach, but my OCD enjoys over-researching stuff, so plan to toy around at low amounts while I learn the ropes, although the £12 charge through HL, does make it difficult to turn a profit unless investing reasonable amounts...
I'm really new to all this and keen to learn. Ideally I want to avoid day trading as it's too volatile and time consuming, but I'm not completely against it if it helps keep profit ticking along, but trading aspect would be handy to know, mainly for if I need to temporarily jump out of a share that's crashing. I'm already learning from a few rookie mistakes (got carried away and bought val at 56p, turned a minor loss trying to day trade Rolls Royce today etc), but where's a good starting point for me to learn the basics? Really want to learn how I DYOR etc, or would anyone suggest a course is a better start? Thanks in advance.
Thought I'd ask here since it's back to being a friendly BB ;)
Keep seeing people post about MM's collecting stock over last couple of weeks, I'm about to show my naivety here, but have they not had more than their fair share of manipulation? Seems we've been declining for over a week but the MM's often get blamed for it, just seems really weird to a newbie investor. I'm in for the long haul either way, but trying to understand all this better
Hi all, been reading here for weeks and thought it's about time I registered, other than early this week when reading the BB became unbearable, some really helpful and insightful posts. I bought in at 18p, 25p and 56p, unfortunately the 56p was the biggest tranche, but you buy at your own risk. Plan was always to invest at least medium term, so just hoping for some slow, steady growth.
inanaco - much like many others, I'm not really sure what you're hoping to achieve, but lets assume you want to warn people that this is an awful company to invest in, message received, mission successful, you've done your duty and nobody can say they werent warned. Maybe now it's time to ease up pal, the posts are incessant and frankly, rather boring. I'll be sure to remember you if it all goes wrong and think "maybe I should've taken his/her 'advice', but turn it in buddy, there is literally nothing else to gain unless you're a de-ramper. Wont see any replies from you as you're filtered, so best I dont cause you to waste your breath, I wish you well in all your future endeavours ;)
