All very clear, concise and positive, market reaction rather muted which I find strange and disappointing, just have to wait longer.

Blimey, been waiting that long I can't even read the RNS properly.

Having waited patiently (and nervously) for news of a F/O for months an update finally came on the last day of Q1. More time was needed with end April being suggested. Out of the blue, the day before the long Easter break came news of a 50% F/O. GEO Energy (I had never heard of them) had never been mentioned on this BB. In the days between the two RNS's over 6m shares where traded at prices ranging from 170p to 365p (per FT) - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? JOG want to F/O some more (but do have a backstop) will there be another long wait before news? Come on Dick, Jim, anybody (please no green posts) enlighten me/us.

They are not "published FACT" it is their published OPINION. If it was FACT many on this BB would be long gone.

So 78.12% in free float, I assume the insiders (21.60%) are not in the free float, after ABB who are the other insiders who have BOUGHT shares with their own money?

The second phase commenced yesterday buying at an average of circa 110p. The first phase started on 16th November 2022 at an average price of 86p. A similar outcome could well see the share price up to over 130p as predicted by many analysts, with a higher dividend on the cards.

The result is your screen will have nice "green messages" it is relaxing and leaves the poster talking to himself/herself and you can concentrate on the useful content on the BB.

Clearly the auditors have issues with the accounting treatment of unsaleable products, probably the "L series" previously capitalised but clearly obsolete. Haggis may even label the auditors "con men" for wanting the accounts to reflect the true picture.

Now that the board has quietened down I have a question. Firstly what a great 2 day performance by our JOG shares (can't imagine why we were all so worried prior to Fridays announcement.
The question relates to todays RNS, which stated that UBS Investment Bank (I assume on behalf of a client or clients) acquired a large holding (7%).
Todays FT stated JOG has 32.55m shares outstanding and that 15.40m of those are in free float. The question is "how does that holding impact on the above mentioned numbers"?.
One other thing, on the basis that this is a F/O (not a takeover) JOG will receive some cash to see it through to first oil, would there be any chance of a payment to shareholders prior to that first oil as a reward for financing them to this stage.

Haha - Of the JOG topic, I have had the unfortunate experience of holding ANGS for many years, I have significantly averaged down and perhaps there may be a chance over the coming months that I may get out without my wealth being harmed.
We suffered last week with JOG (until Fridays news) ANGS have inflicted pain on investors for years so just be careful with this.

As you say 4 pieces of good news, that have had almost no impact on the share price. The financial results have not been released, they will not be good (almost no revenue) and the post year end events they have announced will be costly, which implies any bad news will involve a call for cash and further dilution.

This is excellent news from JOG who have been telling the market that this is an attractive asset for a number of years and now the team that have been working flat out on the deal are within touching distance of their dream.

No one deserves the credit more than they do and I hope that it gets over the line in April as per the exclusivity period they have signed with the unnamed but ‘significant’ North Sea operator. I am looking forward to finding out more and hopefully interviewing Andrew Benitz in due course.

Smell the bacon and hear Mrs MPO humming happily in the kitchen, so things are looking a lot better today (but was there any need for all this pain and worry, surely an update could have been issued earlier). After breakfast Mrs MPO want to discuss why I have invested so much of her hard earned into Vodafone, think the dividend may come to my rescue there.
