Greens, I'm ever so sorry, for me being so naive when I wanted my first house at the age of 23 ;-). I am really so unbelievably sorry that this comment of mine has taken you to the brink of no longer believing in the intelligence of a fellow human being. I hope you will your faith back again. Jimmyjesus, it is possible to find people who never had a single penny of debt in their name, but I'd invite these people to try and get a mortgage and wish them the best of luck, because they'll need plenty of luck. Do you agree, that part of being classed as credit-worthy is having had a debt in the past and proving to be able to manage debt by paying it back? That only started to make sense to me when I tried to get a mortgage and was told I couldn't have one for I never had any debt lol.

Don't worry about the gender-thing. According to some, it doesn't matter anymore anyway lol. As for the share value, I am actually hoping it goes up to the years high (around 80p) or even higher, once the waves stop throwing the boat about so much. Money lenders are as old as money itself, so I have every confidence that this will work out. Perhaps not in the immediate future, but eventually and in the meantime I look into other share companies. Thinking of topping up on PAF, as these seem totally undervalued, but I have to do more research into that and there are plenty of affordable shares on the market. Today I was looking into the new battery generation Tesla is working on. Where I won't be able to afford Tesla shares, I might be able to find a company that mines components required to build them. As much I enjoy a roaring fossil fuel engine, I fear the mobility of the future will be the Electric Trick :-)

Thank you so much, Chickenlegs :-) I wish you good luck, too and btw...I'm not a lad, at least I wasn't one the last time I checked lol :-) I'm actually a grandmother to a gorgeous grandaughter and who has decided to try and make herself and her descendants as financially independent as she once was many moons ago :-). Thanks for the advice about not getting too greedy. As I don't have a live-feed, I might think about a realistic automatic sale on this position. As for wild swings, I'm not afraid as I can't physically hurt myself. I have not invested a penny more into this than I can afford to lose.

Jimmyjesus, you're right. He said that he can't do home visits during the crisis and has to take payments over the phone. There's also talk about redundancies and you're spot on. I needed a bridge loan many years ago with a flexible re-payment option, which no bank could offer and that's how we became friends. Six weeks into the loan, I began to look forward to the weekly visit and a chat. Could be part of the business model. Not sure as he was the only of their agents I have ever met. Interesting thought, though.

JimmyJesus he's an agent for provi. But they had there fair share of disaster when somebody in their upper echelon decided to send letters of apology to all lenders for mistakes they were not even aware of lol. You can see when the letters were sent. it's that sudden drop in share value :-) You're right, as long as there's money people will need some extra for a while. I am positive.

JimmyJesus, I am planning on holding for while and you're right, this chat here is challenging, but it it's also quite helpful. Not necessarily in decision making, but for reading different opinions and thus getting different points of view. There was a friend who nearly put me off buying this share. He works for another big lender and told me that less people are taking out loans, because in the current climate they don't know if they can repay them. However, there has to be an end to this all and this is where I see the chance.

been reading in here in between my research for a few days. Then decided to go for it. Not the scale some of you, but with as much as my budget permits me to loose. Had a few nail-biting moments today and doubted my decision. More positive now, not sure why I just am. The only way is up, it's got to up and if it goes down, I might top up a bit. I'm positive and I base that on my research and my gut-feeling. The ratio of that being 70/30. Everybody has to start somewhere and this being my second position in my portfolio, I just had to go for the most nerve-wrecking as my second, didn't I? :-)
