farraway, just about caught your question when I came out of the bath. Have a read through this page. There are plenty of articles about electric cars and the problems they bring along. The worst of which is probably spontaneous combustion, which is a huge challenge for the fire brigades. There is plenty to sort on this mobility, but I don't think it'll last as long as the fossil fuel vehicles did. What it will be replaced by? No idea :-)

gdpollard and this is exactly what I meant. Some companies may just be too old and rigid to adapt and some new and small ones could disappear very fast. This is the challenge and this is why I'm trying to figure out the natural components they need and observe the companies/manufacturers in the meantime. A starting company could be great, but they are all starting to swim in a tank full of sharks.

gdpollard I think you're right. Tesla investors seem to invest in the man, but there is something about the guy that irritates me extremely, which is when I hear him talking about that he is not in for it for the money. Apparently, he hasn't got a penny to himself. To me that sounds like a new age ideology or a religion and I find that hard to fathom. If he was my son I'd say to him: "Get a grip of yourself!" :-)

seamus, not really wasting. You see, water is resource that circulates itself. It can also actually 'clean' itself. There is some interesting research about the intelligence of water and it's scientific research, not some esoteric mumbo jumbo and they are currently researching the possibility of hydro engines and or batteries. Tesla, e.g. is now working on a battery pack that uses lithium inside silicone. As I said, it's all very interesting, but I'm not a great tech-buff. Fact is though, that we are entering a new age in a lot of things and our job is to be on our toes :-)

gdpollard, didn't Tesla drop significantly yesterday or the day before? ;-) Also, I think Tesla could be totally overrated. Rather than investing into companies that produce one or a few items in the thought of the fourth industrial revolution (mobility, digitalisation, bio-tech and pharma) I research what components they need (rare earths e.g.) and invest into the mining. I also feel its safe to say, that oil will be out sooner than gas. I personally feel more comfortable to invest into mining than into any old company that is trying to switch from over 100 years of producing e.g. fossil fuel vehicles to producing electric cars. Furthermore, the leccy mobility will eventually get replaced by hydro mobility. It's all very interesting stuff they come up with and I wish I'd had a better tech-head :-)

GDpollard 15K is not that small. I have only two positions so far and this one in here I own 2000 shares of :-) work out for yourself how much I have invested, my average SP being 12.90 . I could have safely invested more, but I'm trying to prove to hubby, that you can increase money significantly starting off with very little. Exactly like I did when he was often away from home in the 1990s. He doesn't think it won't work anymore these days.

Subscription to FT is how much??? :-O Well, if it's absorbent, it could be the solution when the next loo roll crisis breaks out :-)

Lucky are those who were in the right place at the right time when the news about Boohoo-Gate broke. At least they managed to sell. I can't understand anyone who buys into Boohoo now. For if that has legal consequences... that could mean a rat's tail of problems and the SP will only move in tiny drips. Hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year ..... That's it, I'm too old to think in decades lol
