Hi Rotherby1 - I'd be interested in joining a meet if there's any chance of one being held in London. The other meets have been too far for me to justify the travel.

@mentalmax - I suspect it’s commission on however much they sell rather than per individual; ditto other authorised brokers.

I use iWeb - never had an issue buying shares when I've tried to top up. £5 per trade plus stamp duty (no SD if not an LSE listed share).

hold my hands up to being a spurs fan ecstatic that we won on wednesday after years of heartache. sorry to disappoint you about that dt but how often is it spurs beat united once let alone 4 times in a season?

i do believe amorim will turn united around though if he can offload a lot of the players who can't play his system. in that, he and postecoglou have much in common.

panamabob, American investors can buy shares in London-listed companies via online share trading platforms. Similar to UK investors buying US-listed shares.

I think Nero means that the American markets will open at 1pm UK time and may/will be interested in Capai shares. I don't believe Capai is listed over there.

I just bought 38k shares at 0.0051 through iWeb - takes my holding to 75k.

I feel like I know Musgrove Park quite well now and after 3 x couple-of-hour visits over the weekend I'm £30 lighter in my bank balance. But hopefully she'll not be in for too much longer - just need to get a post-hospital care package sorted before she can be discharged.

I contacted iWeb who told me I needed to be opted in to receive notifications on voting in AGMs etc but they also said they weren't aware of the vote!!! I'm now opted in but won't receive any voting papers as they've only just been notified by me. I've had to let them now how I wish to vote and they will do it for me. Not happy but I hope they do as I request.

They advised me that for future votes they would normally send the information by post but when I challenged that (given the age of technology we live in) they confirmed I'd receive an e-mail.

I use iWeb because they offer a £5 dealing charge plus Stamp Duty for share purchases. I use HL for funds as they don't charge for those and I don't trade enough each month to get the reduced dealing charge.

No worries and thanks re Meadowhall, but it's not feasible for me to travel long distances for any meets.
