You can open a flexible cash ISA which allows any money you take out to be replaced in the tax year. The Government website confirms it - https://www.gov.uk/individual-savings-accounts/withdrawing-your-money#:~:text=You%2520can%2520take%2520your%2520money,then%2520take%2520out%2520%C2%A33%252C000.

Also this is the final tax year that the full £20k ISA allowance can be saved into a Cash ISA. Next year it drops to £12k unless you’re over 65 when the full £20k still applies.

Opened at $14.96 (allowing for the 20min time lag) but has dropped back a little since.

Feel that breaking through $15 could help it move up.

Damn! Forgot about the time lag on ASX shares so didn’t see it actually closed at $14.54 🤦‍♀️

Closed at $14.62. Not a big uptick but better than finishing in the red.

Pushing up - now $14.58 🙂

Sadly my holding (a mere 1000 shares) is minute compared to (probably) the vast majority, but I’m still nicely in profit so for me B doesn’t figure in my thinking unless of course the SP rises massively to make it so.

I’m more C at the moment - happy to wait for Hav to come onstream.

I don’t need to cash in any time soon as I’m retired with no mortgage I don’t have huge outgoings/expenses (bar my annual football season ticket) but wish I’d been less cautious (bought in at an average of 8p) and invested less in AI stocks and more in GGP, but that’s life.

I have high hopes for GGP and look forward to steady rises in the SP as things progress.

I’m grateful for all the info imparted by those with far greater knowledge than me but wish the numpties - pretty much all green boxed - would go away so they’re not responded to and good debate/discussion can be enjoyed by the rest of us

So sorry to hear the new Mrs Matty has hip problems. The cost of going private these days is horrendous but you’re right, the NHS is in a total mess and successive governments just throw good money after bad at it.

I was lucky enough to have a knee replacement via private medical insurance a few years back.

There is a new treatment available now (called Arthrosamid) which injects a gel into the knee joint which cushions it and stems off the need for a replacement. It costs c£3k and lasts for a good few years but is only available privately. I’m considering it for my other knee which is showing signs of osteoarthritis.

Imagine the money and time the NHS could save by offering this to those needing replacements. 5/6 patients treated for the cost of 1 joint replacement operation. No reason it can’t be used for hips too, though appreciating not everyone is suitable for it.

I wish you and Mrs Matty well in your new married life and hope she gets the hip replacement she needs soon.

Currently $14.42 albeit with a 20 min delay in the value showing on the ASX.

It also works the other way jaguar - AIM up yesterday, ASX down today.

If anyone is going to the Town Hall and not already planning to ask the same, and while I accept there previously haven’t been any plans to move GGP off AIM and up to the FTSE proper, I’d like to know whether said plans might now have changed.

ASX closed a tad down at $14.60.
