I know we shouldn't scratch the itch, but that latest from Hargreaves is an absolute joke.
"Over the past 12 months, the stock has added around 430%." Yes Rupert, a period during which you were telling your numbskull subscribers to avoid buying.
"Following this performance, I’ve been watching the business carefully". Surely if you had any sense of the markets, you would have been following EUA from much earlier than this. What value is Motley Fraud to its customer base if it only gives them tips after those horses have become favourites?
"Estimates pegged the value of the firm’s assets at around £1.5bn". Somebody has done their own research, have they Rupert?
"Nevertheless, there’s no guarantee any transaction will occur. What’s more, as the press release stated, the transaction may only be related to parts of the business. That could severely limit the outcome for Eurasia Mining’s shareholders." Well, except that that transaction will be for the part of the business that has somewhere between 2m and 40m palladium-dominant PGMs and maybe ultimately tens of millions more.
"The way I see it, there are two outcomes here. In the best-case scenario, if the company manages to negotiate a takeover, it could receive an offer of around £1.5bn. That would produce an attractive outcome for shoulders." No Rupert! The best case is much better.
"Eurasia Mining may fail to agree on a deal in the worst case, and the company may run out of money. That would result in a terrible outcome for investors." No Rupert! They have millions in the bank and if they fail to agree a deal, this would actually be the best case in terms of long term company value. You really must DYOR at the Motley Fraud.
"On that basis, I’d buy a limited position in the company for my ISA. Due to the risks involved, I’m not interested in acquiring a large position, because there’s a chance the stock could fall substantially if talks collapse". Perhaps an even better strategy, Rupert, would have been to earn your crust by actually doing your own research and taking a small position two years ago which would now be a big position with far less risk.
