Rusty makes a good point about the country actually selling the licences for a good price, you can't have your cake and eat it.
If the protesters owned the land that was being mine. Most would change their point of view completely imo.
Has would the climate change activists. If you explained to them that,for their zero nonsense in the next few years idea was to come about it would mean, no food on supermarket shelf's, no citrus fruits in winter for the kids. All food sourced locally. So for 250000 people lining in my borough that's just drinking milk from local cows and fresh vegetables from local land( no trucks to transport). Great we all die of starvation but at least the plant is happy.
Can everyone wake up please and realise there are 7 billion people on the plant, we are healthy and well feed for the most part thanks to fossil fuel.
All sensible people while realising change needs to come, have a duty to nip this ativisim in the bud.
