Where is your humanity for the thousands of people who have lost loved ones? From something that could have been stopped if the Chinese government had acted responsibly.
Do some research, this will go down in history as a huge cover up.

I understand your attitude and I believe you are well intentioned.
But I think your type of attitude allows them to get away with it, and when people get away with bad behaviour, in any walk of life and at every level, they do it again.

Facts
Certain classes of the Chinese eat wild animals.
The wet markets are badly regulated.
They have been warned about the dangers of such practices, by international observers for years, since the SARS out break.
The Government of China has consistently failed to clamp down on the practices because they are so popular with large numbers of people.
The outbreak was covered up for weeks, losing the world valuable time to mitigate the situation.

Nothing to do with the facts

Those who don't act on facts for fear of looking racist, even though it is nothing to do with racism.

The Chinese are clearly victims of this, but it' s very important to point out that it is certain practices in that country that have lead to this situation, it's also happened many times in the last 20 years alone.
They need to be called out on this, for the benefit of everyone.
It's more important that wondering if a passing comment comment is fact or racist.

It is a very important fact that the numbers given are for positive tests only, the authorities themselves say it is not a true reflection of total infections which is impossible to know unless the entire population is tested.
Its an important message to pass out, not to scare people, but to get people to understand what they need to do, you still have fools who are in pubs and on the underground who don't need to be there. The more information and the better people behaviour the more chance we have of beating this. The way people are carrying on as normal, makes me think if it took China 3 mouths to get some kind of control on this. It will take us 6 mouth. PEOPLE,SOCIAL DISTANCE PLEASE

A lot of companies, even really great ones, could be nursing very big holes in their revenue streams over the short/ medium term.
I'm not sure the rebound will be as big as hoped. Hope I'm wrong,
