I think the difference is, that solg have always played the production route. The general view being to keep a possible bid honest.

I respect everyone's view on this board. There are some great contributers here but surely the cornerstone board and the likes of Warren Irvine are not complete idiot's. If they are toast without solg's offer like all on here say, Surely they would have worked that out for themselves. I mean Irvine is a multi millionaire well known in the industry fund manager, and plenty of their other big share holders are of a similar status. I just can't believe they are fools. Something s not adding up here guys.

I have felt all along that this deal was done 2 years ago.
No one else has bid for solg because they all know BHP has it in the bag. The 2 years was to let solg prove it up, this helped both parties. BHP got proof of tier 1 status and solg are getting fair value.
I would not be surprised if a figure has already been discussed between Nick and BHP. The only spanner in the works has been covid.
I think solg were hoping to have proved up a few more discoveries by now. Covid cost them 6 mouths from the last 2 years.

I would not be surprised if we get a monster RNS just before the 15th.
It would stop a potential sell off just after the 15th it nothing happened
