The political climate could change,ie will a new government be less mining friendly ( unlikely in my opinion) but the mining jurisdiction is extremely important with mining decisions. In many cases the number one factor in determining whether a company starts a project or not.

I was unlucky with the march drop. I had bought in Dec for 19p and never sell at a loss because I'm happy to hold the extra shares ( I call it my win win statagy) I sold them at 23p after it went on it's great run in the Spring. I should have loaded up but was not sure how well solg would bounce back. I was brave enough to pick up some nice ftse 100 and 250 bargins though

I've sat on my solg shares since 2013, then I put a smallish sum aside last year just for trading solg, nothing to technical, just buy around 19, 20, 21 range and sell any time it goes over 23ish. Have pulled of some nice trades ( don't always get it right) happy in the knowledge my main holding is always there. I would recommend it to anyone who gets annoyed with the slow progress. I actually find myself getting excited when the SP starts to go down after a good run.

I hope your right, but at the time of the Standstill agreement with BHP, if you asked what most people thought would happen by Aug 2020. I think the majority would have said, 2 or 3 more discoveries by now ( I know covid did not help)
We were told 12 drills on site, first choice with the contractor because he had so many shares in solg etc etc if we wanted more.
I know they wanted to drill the guts out of Alpala but they could of done that with 6 drills and have at least one other at 6 others targets. What has happened exactly?

I thought the standstill agreement was about proving up the other targets, it's nearly over and they have hardly drilled anywhere else. I can understand why people are annoyed.
I think Blanca is a dud, just like Aguinaga.
They talked it up for ages then after a few drill holes,the news dried up completely.
But that is to be expected, these monsters are rare. Thats why Alpala makes headlines.
Don't be surprised if none of the other tenements produce anything, the odds are against us finding even one other.
Would be a great bonus if we did.

No one has a problem with the idea that solg can finance 85% of the project, why the presumption that cornerstone would not be able to raise the 15%?
The project is so good, people expect institution's to throw money at solg but cornerstone have 15% of the same project.

Personally, If it was ever put to a vote from shareholders, I would vote against a Chinese takeover. Whatever the price. Recent events have shown how dangerous that regime is.
If people were concerned about Huawei's involvement in Britain's 5G network, that would fall into insignificance compared to what will happen once they have control over the worlds natural resources, the western world will literally become their slaves.
The belt and road project is a guise to shore up their supply chain,
They give out a loan to the host country, usually a very poor country with lots of natural resource, once the loan cannot be repaid, they take a long lease on the project ie port or rail line etc as a payment plan, it's already happened with a major port in Sri Lanka. They basically take control of it. In the next 20 years this will become a major problem to the west.

I'm happy to let the Chinese have it, just make sure the f#@k#@s

If you flip shares, one of the things I've done over the years is to sell shares in the regular account then buy them back, quite often a lot cheaper ( if you get the timing right) in the ISA account, I have managed to get the vast majority of my solg holding into my ISA over the years, and actually made money out of it. But you need a bit of lucky and a keen eye on the SP.
