Everyone s falling over themselves trying to do business with them, expanding their economy and influence, all in the name of making a buck.
Sars, bird flu and now covid 19 all given to us in the last 20 years, courtesy of the third world peasants with a first world economy.
They are more of a danger to the world than global warming.

Try worldometer it gives numbers for active cases and if mild or critical etc. As well as total numbers. Still a lot of sick people in China at the moment although new cases have slowed a lot.

But the markets do what the markets do. We all know that, I presume most on here are fairly experienced? Investers.
Airlines, cruise ship operators, travel industry, oilers. Miners etc are getting crucified, China buys 40% of all the oil in the world and around 40% of natural resources too. Demand has gone through the floor. You know that.
See reason, whether you like it or not. The market is not going to play nice for the time being.
And dispute what you think I don't trade most of my solg shares, and I am very worried about the virus, My Father is 90 with many health issues. I think many people with elderly loved ones are genuinely worried. The world does not revolve around the solg share price.

Take your blinkers off, and have a look at the world around you from time to time.

With the Coronavirus at this stage, all bets are off.
Things will get back to normal, once the situation becomes clearer. Until then anything can happen, what something is worth will be irrelevant for the time being.
Once we have clarity there will be some great stocks going for knock down prices. Although if things really get bad, I can see some major companies really in trouble, maybe even going broke ie airlines and travel firms etc so be careful what you go fishing for.
This could get very bad.

Mind you. New York just about to open. Futures have it massively down. That will hurt us no doubt

The point I've always tried to make is climate change is important but you can't harm society to much during the transition, you need to strike a balance. Banning fossil fuel to soon would create huge damage to all societies rich or poor. The nutters need to realise? it will? take time, around 20 years plus. That's not blinkered that's realism
