In normal trading, they are triggered intraday mainly as a circuit breaker to prevent flash crashes/spikes So if a stock trades a certain % in Glen's case 3% from their last traded price it triggers an auction. An auction can be triggered if it trades a certain % (Glen's case 8%) from the last auction, like the opening auction. It allows a 'cooling period' whereby the market can restore order. There are set times when auction happens as you already know. Hope this helps.

Yes, a rotary engine. Small, light and powerful. It was taxed for 1.2L as they just take displacement into account like piston engines which is much bigger for the same power. It crackles and pops like a proper sports car. You seem handy sourcing parts, haha.

Father's Honda is now 40 yrs old and still running albeit on its last legs. Mother's 20 yr old volvo is still going well but handling leaves it wanting.but solid and safe. BMW M3 is a superb car handling and power, M5 is a tremendously fast beast but too large to be agile and good for overtaking. Mazda RX7 with ****el is so fun. ....not to mention others, now having a weekend toy and using public transport mostly.

Electric Tesla have far more torque than the standard 2L cars, like double or more. You need ideally a minimum 2.5L to 3L to get it going in family saloons. BMWs the better handlers sacrificing comfort, Lexus are more comfortable sedans. Electric cars are high torque and very linear torque curves, Diesel more torque than petrol but typically suffers some turbo lag and less bhp ~(though made up from turbo), petrol are smooth and lag free but less torque at lower revs.
