Don’t think we’re quite there yet, but the news today is a good reminder that there’s a lot more than just unconventional and Icewine2. Would be great if this pick up is followed in the next day or two with some positive news on 3d and/or the flow testing.

Interesting post youngba, and as you say many other possibilities other than complete failure or success at each one. Not checking the maths, but taking your headline figure of 94% chance of success for just one of the four, and looking at our smallest prospect for an idea of minimum value it’s looking very promising. Yukon gold at 120m barrels is the smallest, so if we can get a deal at around $3 a barrel, that’s a 94% chance for a minimum value of $360m! Of course all theoretical, still a (small) chance of nothing for everything.

There are two big differences to rmp and 88e. One is the market cap. While they may have seen 70-80% rise this morning to n the back of that news, that’s only about £3m added to the Mcap. The second is that rmp weren’t doing anything until today, now they are.

Anyone else having problems with this site? Its telling me a 0% SP change and doesn't show the RNS, but the London Stock Exchange site says +6.45%

3D must be very close to being released, the Icewine overview in the RNS says:

"Significant conventional prospectivity has also been identified on recently acquired 2D and 3D seismic across the project acreage."

We haven't had the RNS yet for LSE. The announcement has been made on ASX only so far. I guess they'll be trying to include whatever clarification is needed in the RNS for us.

Co0pz, well spotted as well, I didn't think to check the other asx companies for trading halts. But does look like the 3d is almost upon us.

Noticed an interesting new line in the Icewine info. It now says:

The inclusion of 3D appears to be new, other announcements only say 2D. Could this the be the clarification that is pending release for the asx trading halt?

Looking more likely now that initial 3D results will come before the flow test at icewine is complete. They've previously said June for those, and end of June next week. Now the formal award and payment has been made for the new leases, perhaps initial 3D results for Yukon will also be available?

Perhaps Paddyyazz caused the site to crash on Friday because it couldn’t cope with the number of new accounts being created. lol

Well worth signing up to hotcopper, some good knowledgeable posting there. I signed up on Friday with this site going down. I’ve no idea if this test well is going to be successful, but not seen anything of substance to say it’s definitely going to fail. The truth seems to be that no one can really say for certain one way or another, it is a test well afterall, and no matter what happens with it more drilling was always going to be required across the acreage. Worst case scenario from here - the unconventional side is delayed by a year, and a new well is drilled using the information learnt from ice2. But then there is also conventional plus Yukon, with farm out deals still on the cards for this year, so there’s still plenty to make up for any disappointment if it comes to that.

Good to see the site running again. I don’t really understand the Friday update and whether it signals a problem. So not surprising it caused another drop. The bigger question for me is why was this update given? It would have been known the market would take it as negative, and no one would have thought there was any issue if the next update had been Monday or Tuesday. Leads me to wonder if it was only in response to speculation that we will be at 30% by now and we’re not, so trying to prevent a worse market reaction if that update had been delayed. Or possibly they’re clearing the decks of news that could be taken badly in preparation for releasing 3D results which they wouldn’t want to be overshadowed.

Interesting post bring. I should imagine AB will be turning his attention to forthcoming board changes at bmr soon, already announced that the chairman/CEO role will be split by 28th sept. I would guess coming out of suspension first would make it a little easier to attract a new chairman and/or CEO, along with new a director(s) to replace the one that retired.

Welcome to the board cape! I've never posted on iii, but used to follow it. Certainly doesn't look very useable anymore so have stopped looking at it now, hopefully more will follow you, been some good opinions there in the past.

I don't think the Zambians giving the go ahead is the issue, in a sense the government go ahead has already been given with the licence reinstatement. JLP deciding whether or not to go ahead following their talks is the issue.

But either way, a positive sign that a decision in favour of proceeding has been made. Will be interesting to see what the next update brings.

All looks positive. Some fresh blood on the board and news that we're opening a Zambian office, and that the Zambian office isn't just to deal with kabwe. Hopefully some further news soon on the copper/cobalt project that's been hinted out.
