I did note your recent discussion comments on the I3E share chat Norma. Can't fault you on your SQZ and I3 Energy holdings, as I also hold significant amounts of both. Where we differ is that my holding is way above a 1% figure, and bizarrely I have recently increased my i3 energy holdings on the recent drop to hold the same amount of both shares.
Love the dividends and as you say - certainly a hedge.
Jury's out, but lets see where we go from here.

Unfortunately Ash, with a 9m year end figure, thats a few years wages to these lifestyle exec's. The share price is an inconvenience to them until II's become disgruntled. It took over 10 years for FPM.
Wrote my small holding off to gains made this year elsewhere and scratch my head as to why I put even this small amount in for the final 3 drills - although at the time the share price had halved and they did look interesting. Hey ho.

Bp were involved in Namibia a while back, which was a particularly painful period for Serica Energy when they strategically withdrew. Pity Serica didn't keep the Licences but let them lapse a couple of years ago before the new interest developed.
But who knows.

Having had a significant holding in Trap Oil that led to me having 10,000 JOG shares which I sold for 200p in 2019 I still keep a weather eye on JOG. Honestly I would still have had them but used the £64k hit to offset against other gains.
I still consider that a tie up with Serica Energy would be beneficial to both companies but just can't see much of a premium on the price at present and £8.00 seems very ambitious.
Serica's Tailwind offer says it all re "discount".
Perhaps an offer of 0.9 shares in Serica for every Jog share and lucrative options for Exec's would entice them and yet again leave only pennies for PI's. On the plus side is a nice dividend going forward, capital gains and Bruce used to offset Hunts tax raid until 2028.
Timing is everything and I sincerely hope all LTH especially Dick get some reward here - and may well tuck some away myself. GLA

Over the last few days, the good old unions have spilled over into the offshore arena, with more demands for pay rises and potential strikes hitting a number of facilities offshore.
So we cripple second tier companies financially and then expect them to negotiate a settlement with their offshore workforce. Shell and BP will negotiate from a position of strength, with the pain being negligible as usual. Mr Putin would love our lights to go out - perhaps "we" are going to do it for him.

£9million left in the kitty at end of 22 with Exec's and Non Exec taking around £1million in wages/bonus each year - not to mention any option awards for doing such a grand job
I thought FPM was painful at times but this one takes the biscuit. Still it gives the boyo's a lifestyle company to play with at the expense of shareholders. Uninvestable unless you like placing your bets on a single number on roulette.

Seems I have a tad more invested in Serica via Throgmorton Trust. No 38 on its holdings with nearly £6 million invested (0.9%). Along with JMI, HOT and probably others, we do seem to be getting noticed within the Investment trust world.

Rest assured I am only here for my £1000 a month dividend. I just don't have a lot to say other than I worked opposite the i3e office in Westhill Campus and bought the Liberator dream. More than delighted with the Canadian switch.

I'm 50% underwater with my 8000 holding, but lost faith and added heavily into NAS one of Mr Mills investment trusts that has managed to recover from £31 to £39 recently.

I sometimes wonder if CEO's have been bought off by Governments to only tell half the story. Take his comments with regard to UK that 3 in 4 pounds go to the government in taxes and the other £1 was inferred to maintain production with paltry profits.
Why not use the moment to effectively remind the Uk idiots that no further investments will be forthcoming and any opportunity to sell assets will be examined. Oh and we will look into moving the company to the USA and you can keep your sweeteners. I'm sure Serica will be more than happy to discuss any further BP assets on offer. NB: Holder of both BP and SQZ shares

Don't post much here but do read the chat, some of which is very informative. Added a further 50,000 yesterday at 19.5p. Not a happy bunny that we are below my average in the low 20's, but dividend acts as a good anusol. Been here since Liberator days which whilst painful is hopefully behind us.

In the interest of my sanity, I have bravely purchased a further 5000 Serica shares, largely based on the negativity towards UK O & G companies and perhaps, just perhaps all the bad news is currently portrayed in the share price with a 10% downside.
Who knows, they will probably half the dividend next or Rhum will shut in.
Bizzarely the Investment Trusts I purchased when selling a large tranche of Serica at 442p are all up between 6% and 33%. Hindsight eh - should have sold the lot and purchased a condo in Mauritius. GLA and dont think I know anything - I'm just looking for maximum distress.

I voted no, due to the Mercuria holding going forward, although resigned to the vote going through. I didn't sell a rather large holding, my choice, so no complaints. Going forward, times are challenging especially with the masses misinformed by Politicians and Commentators alike with regard to profits from the likes of Shell and BP with continued calls for more taxing on profits made outwith the UK - duh!!
Less gripe now if you still hold - subliminally your in for the ride and we await the tortoise to commence a pedestrian crawl .

I have a 1000 share holding in OIG, that is now back in positive territory after the last few weeks. My main Christopher Mills IT is NAS which has a cross holding in OIG, which has similarly recovered from its lows, which I have bought aggressively on conviction that it was bottomed. I begin to feel that Renalytix will continue to gain some traction this year which will assist both IT's. GLA

I'm on your side Fool-on-the, so yes they made mistakes for all the right reasons no doubt. I'm just smarting seeing as I sold 100,000 at 442.5p and then bought back 25,000 at 300-325p. My mistake!!!
I haven't sold - so the jury's out on this one until such time as we all see how it pans out. GLA
