I think people missing the point about gbp vs usd ceders mentioned this already. When the price hit 3.70 last summer the pound was languishing around 1.2 vs usd since then we’ve had a strong recovery the current sp equivalent is around 3.70 right now when compared to last summer. I think this will be a 50p discount to most targets so 3.50p is the new 400.

Don’t worry your divis will keep you warm lol boggles my mind why anyone would sit in on ex divi date historically it’s the same throughout. Could of got extra shares and divi on this drop.

Crap coin needs to be targeted by green peace anyone who supports decarbonisation should support banning crypto mining the amount of energy it wastes beats certain countries energy usage. Neversellshell question about bp or shell. I see more price upside in shell at the min than with bp at the current levels there’s prob 20 or so pence in it which is what 5-6% I think Rdsb upside of 160p is more alluring shorter term.

If you want a price prediction 3.26 resistance will only be broken if the rsi doesn’t I’ve heat looks like there’s room for a rise to 3.44. On the flip side support all the way down at 3.01 hence the either way approach. Market sentiment is key re opening is great but we haven’t stopped being a fossil fuel company which is out of favour atm regardless of profits.

I think both hold and sell are valid arguments we’ve seen multiple times over the past few months bp hitting a high and come crashing back down. Isn’t too long ago we were back at 290 with people saying 250.... at the mo it’s hard to tell how far this will go up. With ex div generally the price falls more than the divi. 90% of the time I’ve found divi isn’t worth waiting for post drop. Longer term players though will benefit.

I suspect with these two at the helm there’s going to be a shift in the markets. Yellen has already said higher rates are needed. That doesn’t bode well for growth stocks you already saw the impact yesterday. With Biden targeting the wealthy I suspect a change is coming to tax rules for investors outside the USA. We may even see a ftse revival.
