I totally agree with your post but how many times have we heard Boris and co say there won’t be another lockdown only to get “circuit breaker” followed by a full on national lockdown. To me this just seems like give everyone a summer break before the next one.

Hard to say I think 305 is a good support level for bp at the moment. It depends when people will close out their options probably after hrs in USA. As to what happens next I think it depends on covid and lockdowns etc. Range wise 320 looks like the peak atm until we get some certainty + confidence around reopenings. Watch out for next month though it will be qaud witching.

I feel your pain on that one but I’ve decided not to get attached and read the situation outside of bp. Hence why I sold at 3.20 it allowed me to buy back cheaper yesterday at 3.10. Have to admit though I made a blunder of my shell buy I got too impatient and bought on the initial drop instead of waiting for my 13.3-13.2 entry. I’m just going to repeat the process for the time being q2 a long time away and haven’t seen any signs yet of us breaking for 3.50 and 15 quid in either share.

Dipped back in will see how it goes really want shell at 13.2 or 13.3 at a push

Will see not counting my chickens yet but, to me seems like there’s still a while yet for it to get out of this range. Eventually when it does I’ll prob get caught out but as of now, contracts expiring Friday and still not sure with this wishy washy gov when they will flip the switch and say we need another lockdown. Bp reminds me of the lockdown situation every time we got over 3 quid we think this is it then we’re slapped back down.

I could be wrong but combination of the variant seems all too familiar plus we have options expiring this Friday makes for a ****tail of volatility.

Sold out at 3.2 Indian variant looking too risky like the Kent one of last year I suspect we’ll see local lockdowns followed by a National one soon enough. May come

I think they’re blaming inflation but haven’t got the foggiest. The fed is already committed to lower rates for longer at least till 2023. The current bond yields doesn’t really make any sense for panic. I think it’s just big holders cutting positions and re allocating money if anything looking for the next big rise.

Think 305 a great price atm loads of support there dare I say a drop back below 300 seems unlikely now barring a macro economic disaster.

Seems like it follows no pattern other than range. Oil up today. Inflation worries a bit weird last time the 10 year note was 1.72 at peak and had not massive worries state side. Right now it’s 1.62 and all of the sudden wall st is selling off tech? I don’t buy it. In any case hoping we do see the paradigm shift of growth to value because this is getting boring. Pretty much going to use q2 as a benchmark whether or not to keep holding / buying.
