A new VRFB project has been announced by the Pingmei Shenma Group in China. A massive 300 MW project which I've assumed is for 4 hours duration which would require 6,600 tonnes of vanadium.

At that AISC the breakeven market price is $40/mtV because BMN receive about 93% of market price, so at $40 they would get $37.2/mtV.

700 MW of further projects at 4 hour duration equals 2,800 MWh, which would require 15,400 tonnes of vanadium if they were all VRFB's.

8.4 MWh will need about 46 tonnes of vanadium.

Terry Perles provided some useful information.
As an electrolyte manufacturer, he gave us an accurate consumption figure of 5.5 mtv per MWh of electrolyte. That's 10% higher than the conservative 5.0 mtv projection I've been using for my project list.
