sorry but have no additional info.here to add.I said it was less likely some individual progress was made vs. the market which is increasingly hard against the trend for any small miner.Far better to ride on a wave of sector surges.So you'd be better again tracking the GDXJ,the HUI and other indexes to see if/when any general trend is happening,and the GDXJ is up bigtime the last few weeks,unfortunately so far AFE isn't following suit.Of course even stuck stones get cast higher up the beach in big waves..

CPR is one I've watched for years but never gone into.In recessions it seems to flirt with bankruptcy,but if you can time it right it will reward quite well.It;s a share for the early recovery like 2009 for example.However it is also one of the weathervanes the cyclicals which pre-date each bear market by falling.Also yes you can guage sales by walking into one of the branches and seeing not a lot going on.We could be within months of another of those bear markets for the end of this bull market dating from 2009 ? I'm not trying to put anyone off here,you decide all your investments yourselves.GL

would guess that cyclicals like CPR would depend on continued growth in the UK economy.But will this happen ? Charts- the all time CPR peak was in 2007,a lower peak was in 2009,another lower one in 2012 and ditto in early 2014.So there's been a long term decline.The best thing was the 2011 base was above the 2008 one. Don't think youre a novice and hope youre not broke.You asked about smaller miners,and AFE.Really I've said AFE's best years were in 2009/10 when we were almost in the money,which shows picking the best share is not as important as timing.AFE could either rise against the general trend by some coup via the backers but that is less likely.A general trend is far better in the sector.Can that come ? Look for example at the GDXJ the junior goldminers index.And nickel rising too.A small recovery so far.GL

HOC is up 3% so far today lol.

Shares mag. tipped OMI short term last week,but said most of the gold is low grade,and mentioned the short life of the main mine but OMI are good at replacing assets.Elsewhere HOC was a sell in the mag.These mages. still all out on main market shares cannot see this might end someday soon.

see a post today over at QPP about that-is is never a forgone conclusion,timetable to go through includes-approval of consolidation then so many days once it takes effect required for going on main listing which I assume is the FTSE All Share,then hopefully hitting the early September deadline for FTSE250 entry.It still might be a rush then you go on to the year end lol..Of course as a gold investor you know all about patience-see my POG there today perhaps was jumping the gun a bit with that lol ? the FTSE Quarterly Review is today and admission to the FTSE250 on 20 June IF QPP gets in of course,I'd not be worried if consolidation holds that up it will defo. be admission in September.GL

Look at the "Quick Update" post 0845 Wednesday post on QPP from Long Term Holder which shows PI's are only 8% now of QPP,thus shorters cannot get too much now..

I am losing about 80p to £1 due to rounding down on QPP after losing 4 old shares-you don't get refunds below about £2.50 lol.Not bothered about consolidation and it looks better if you're going to be on the FTSE250 to have a higher SP.About that-some on the thread suggesting they might need to wait till Q3/September as the consolidation won't have been in operation long enough.They might even creep into the FTSE100 by then.Of course where will the FTSE100 be by then ? Gotham acted on The Tile Company in the US last November and those shares hadn't recovered last time I looked.Anyway,if the main markets tanked,they might take QPP with them,but hopefully our gold/silver shares might more than compensate ? Overall yes we have worries in QPP,but I'll just stick it out longer term then.AGY also hasn't got back much,though is still on a good rise from where it came from,I'm staying out of those though.GL

Still in this competition.Meanwhile CNE -to whence ? It isn't quite banned to comment on that ? In fact since the end of March there has been a rise from the depths of despair to less extreme despair there lol.Gold will be our Salvation though all that glistens is not gold..
