These days I operate a "sell when I see something nice onscreen" and have some bills to pay.It also keeps me better able and happier to stick in here and elsewhere longer term and thanks to the benefit of your great knowledge which seems set fair.Janet will know much less about KGI of course..Not sure if you're following my posts on POG-I've no shares there just post..noting that gold is in unusual "backwardation"-do you know about that ?- which suggests a shortage of gold bars in London. as a veteran of many ups and downs,I'd say buy on the rumour and sell on the news is sometimes sensible.Yes also limits to sell are set at key numbers- such as 10p here...neither of these are specific to TALV of course.With getting good news the problem is always what is the extra attraction on good news plus one day..GL

I was also quite sorry to leave here,I think the US drug sector might have pulled this down.Again the lion's share of holders here never have sold.In these situations the company is already semi-private and could go the whole hog one day.This isn't a sector I've been in for years.Though all my recent research indicates this is a good company.It's not just good share selection of course but correct timing is crucial.I see from the chart that only really March has been amazingly good here,though they have held a good amount of that gain.With pharmas it can yes take years as you say to get drug clearances.While the authorities can block progress with little reason on grounds of risk reviews.There must be future GSK's out there but finding them is the trick,and lacking recent experience in this sector is a major drawback to that.GL

has probably lost money here with that sell, but he was successful at least twice elsewhere.Shoreline will now try in turn.They are also successful elsewhere.It gives another "life" to AFE's hopes no more no less.GL

I have praised this share for a while- I need to say I sold the small amount I had today for a smallish loss.A few weeks ago I made a better profit the first time around,probably still ok overall so it wasn't a waste of time in here..I am a gold-esque investing person and am concentrating on that mostly now. .I still will follow this and it is still a good share,I take nothing back that I said.The possible only reason this has fallen is that in the US similar bios have been hit in market shifts,changes in fashion if you like, market rotation.Yes I still think I can pick good shares or I wouldn't be in this game but often yes my timing is out.Just being honest WYSIWYG.GL

I've never claimed to know much about charts,yes they are useful to look backwards.GL

the facts are obvious but only two are required plus an observation- 1. the main markets are high,supported by QE,huge debt,derivatives,all kinds of shenanigans of the Fed.,etc.See www.usdebtclock.org 2. gold is low,due to those same shenanigans. 3. isn't a fact but an observation that will these nos.1 and 2 facts persist or not ? So then it bocomes a competition between how long you or I or anyone holds gold versus the persistance of these two facts.GL

on holding shares of any in a sector which might go private.The chances of that should be almost equal across all companies in a sector-even the huge RRS or whatever might go private at any instant.Low volumes might ne interpreted any way.Anyway holding a few different gold companies spreads the chance.If we think a sector like this is grossly undervalued which it must be at any glance at the figures even by a complete moron or partially sane person.Then you'd hope to gain far more from one of your shares than you'd lose from another going private.It's all a gamble like life.You could win the lottery then go under a bus-it all depends on your abiity to get to sleep with a clear mind ...

No to your question-in fact sold another share at a smallish loss ,but not in TALV at moment,did have it a few years ago.Yes it appears set fair for TALV though yet no finance confirmation.I can pick shares but often my timing is out lol.I can get shares anywhere but seeing next few months as a time for gold to find it's base perhaps.Got all the decks cleared of dross now at least lol GL

their gold produced was a lot lower,I think they had some maintenance/development shutdowns though ? GL
