AFF has over another £1 per share worth of cash pile to add to the present only 95p worth of the shares.

Have just about got a cash pile equal to the present MCap here.So the costs of mining are more or less covered,yes the iron content isn't high and transport needs resolved though road haulage is available after building a 10km track to connect, even if the railway is delayed.A bid of twice the present or reaching about £2 is therefore not ruled out eventually..

coming up- RRR said by the 10th their first selling deal would come while AFF are free to talk to their 2nd bidder after the 13th..of course nothing ever assumed,I have both shares in R/L as well as in the VPF.

On paper I think I'm to be Last though never giving up..JT and Jib have the best of the front running miners or oils,if these move to form some of them could 10-bag or more provided mining/oil recovers this year with the help of QE and inflation.Prar has that knack of picking surprise winners,I've still not recovered from the shock of that R.Wiseman T/O last year and MONI shooting up the year before! Now he has ANGM, a top star. In my effort, some shares have temporary excuses- PAF(a rights issue after a T/O),AFF(considering two T/O deals),RRR(could soon announce two asset sales), and LRL(hopes for a gas strike in a February drill) but these won't be enough longer term unless they come good.

mogo was 2nd last, or 3rd which sounds better lol.Picked-BOY,AHT,RRR,SDY,LRL,AFF,,PAF. ..Now BOY,SDY and AHT have been 3 month risers; RRR seems to have stabilized after being a reverse 15-bagger, lol; LRL has halved in a month;AFF has relaxed after a 3 month rise ;PAFafter spiking has lost a third. Overall this has already three or four weak spots but it is very early days of course to forecast a last place..

Prar' has won this two years now,will he get a hat trick ? Picks were-MONI,GRG,IAP,ANGM,HAS,GFS,FGP...MONI recovered 10% in December after falling a while;GRG has been levelling recently;IAP is now a 2 month riser;ANGM was the top small mining monthly riser though it has topped a bit for a few days;HAS is climbing well over a month;GFS likewise taking no prisoners;FGP is again similar with those two.Overall a strong set doing well.Can he win again ?

Surprisingly Jib was 4th but it was a very bad mining year.Similar tactics-CNR,BAO,SKR,BMZ,TYM,NYO,ANR- looking like some of the best miners in there! We will see-CNR has dipped about 1/6th since Dec. BAO is times 3 since Nov.;SKR is up 50% in a month;BMZ,ANR and NYO all three have been falling a few weeks but seem to be stabilizing now;TYM usually a top mover has doubled recently; Overall a powerful mix as it looks a bit better for miners, in fact Jib might challenge to win ?

Purely for fun,all remarks will be wrong! Some recent "form" will be given... Our teller JT picked-SXX BEM DGE BP AAL KAZ AMER .With top runner AMER,and hot miners BEM,SXX, larger ones KAZ,BP,AAL plus DGE the drinks major..the final three give the dividends.SXX has paused a little after coming up a bit in later Dec.BEM is in process of jumping 50%;AAL and KAZ- climbing since early Nov. BP gushed the last few days,DGE has been less fizzy a bit in December.AMER another +20% the last few days continuing the tops where it left off.Overall a strong pick,should again be in the top runners on this form!

Thanks for that m8.Of course just by accident(?) we see AFF have got a bid in for 115p to 140p for their shares worth now 99p, and is also talking to another bidder.Unfortunately if the first came good it would be a cash/Canadian shares deal ,,(?)...

see Dec 31 RNS-summary-it is an initial offer of from 115 to 140m for AFF from the bidders IMIC..in the form of cash and shares..subject to due diligence in addition AFF remains in talks with other groups,AFF is talking with one other party so cannot respond to IMIC till 13 Jan. no further comments,shareholders need take no actions,all of this is subject to events and at an early stage..

$A140M is £90m compared to a present MCap for AFF of £109.48m,they'll need to go higher ?

on oils I see Aminex, AEX is now the Share of the Year on the Elite site-see the thread here.Though down on luck it has US wells to sell and a place in offshore Tanzania with good prospects with SOLO of hitting gas and a new pipeline is adjacent.

Thanks to JT for all the effort and he made 2nd beating me,Jib made a late bid for it too; But Prar the winner Again 2nd time-CONGRATS PRAR ! ....VPF -I gave a provisional list which is finalised now as- 1. Red Rock Resources RRR another go for me with that disaster area after it failed in 2011 it is right down on the base now with sells of prospects in Greenland iron and Colombia gold hopefully to come soon-will it misfire again ? 2. Leyshon LRL it recently spiked to twice what it is now on a false alarm of a unaided Chinese gas strike which should come good for real in Q1 hopefully once they "frack" it-will it be hot air ? 3. Afferro AFF( a late VPF change)- the Cameroon iron explorer recently rising quite well has a large cash pile from sales of mines-will that be wasted ? 4. Bodycote BOY international engineering giant,up about 1/3 in H2 but by no means near previous maxes- will it tank lol ? 5. Pan African PAF S.African gold producer and platinum producer too now,has dropped a quarter recently after a Rights Issue-another dead loss lol ? 6. Speedy Hire SDY up over 1/3 since August,a van hiring company-will any vans move ? 7. Ashtead AHT plant hire my trusty from this year +88% will it go into reverse ?
