Yes they'll still have faith in the AFE endgame but will be as pertubed as we are just now.Anyway the fact remains a placing with the present maths is totally out.So yes extreme II dilution and no other companies seem to be able to get the $650m why should we expect it ? The $650m isn't the end either..

I shudder to see that with a MCap of £5.38m,and given a placing needs to be lower than the present SP,any placing at this level for the basic £4m requirement -not moving forward much,mainly just existing frugally-is not far off 100% of the company! And getting towards a 1 to 2 dilution! Yes only roughly but not far away.

contrast with RRR if you don't know it is though the SP has been equally disastrously falling,at least they have things they can sell or are trying to.AFE is right down to zilch,unless maybe selling Zanzui though that is mostly unknown as is Dutwa East.Drilling must be halted in absence of any placing which would be at these prices I can't even push myself to do the maths it would be a hugely dilutive placing just to get £4m the annual average to tick over.I already mentioned before how mining licences can rack up cash burn to keep them in action.the work needs done to preserve their position in Dutwa.Not sure if any further earn ins can be got from Safina there ? Overall unless more II's can be brought on it is a me$$.I'm sorry to say but the new board hasn't inspired confidence,and they've chopped and changed a bit too since.MP is really badly missed ! it isn't a very welcoming RNS for IMIC to read,that is why.And sounds like the language when they mentioned the other bid or bids too.AFF don't ever seem to encourage others if you read their responses.Yes they feel most so far undevalue the company obviously that is the message.Again below 60p was the pre December range without bids.

this situation is similar to over at RRR,yes RRR released an RNS but it wasn't too informative or new, and likewise they haven't responded to e mails even from the "chosen few" there.I've never e mailed.All my posts here are supposition therefore.However I sense that as with RRR another placing would be semi suicidal through the uproar of the PI's and more important the necessity from the maths at these debased levels of a huge stack of new shares.I've suggested a 100 to 1 consolidation at RRR,that might help here too-you'd get 75p shares which sounds better for newcomers and also makes placings "appear" a bit easier.Though yes the MCap would remain low it is a psychological uptick to do that.Anyway the lack of info. assuming the AFE Board aren't here just frozen in fear,could mean a major rethink in these circumstances.New II's must be brought in here urgently. I assume the present ones aren't jumping ship-it would throw away their money uselessly.I've always said here-"watch the II's".I am not confident this is the base-yet.Sorry but that's the best slant I can give this as of now.Hoping to hear better news.GL. Generally speaking there are signs that the markets might top out over the summer,though of course AIM continues to sink like a lead weight into the Marianas Trench.An article at Market Oracle on gold suggests several indicators are lower than the depths for 2008,so "therefore it must recover".Of course gold doesn't know that it must recover.AIM miners might be the new tribute act for the dot.coms in the 2000's and the banks in 2008.So it does not follow they will recover for years on that form.People have long memories,how many now want to rush into RBS for example 5 years later ? It may surprise you but there were rumours of a mass handout to taxpayers of RBS shares before the next election,so don't laugh too much at RBS-you might soon be a shareholder lol!

Again I'd buy this at the obvious repeating minimum price of about 272p.

there is a factor about dropping to very low SP's.Your loss is so great it makes little difference to sell.

was just stupidly thinking about a placing at zero- 1. no dilution 2. zero cost 3. unlimited size possible. sorry I'm giving you potential nightmares lol.

"return your scraped up sum to the bank"-yes of course not all will be coming back as you won't be getting very much from selling your original shares.I don't know your maths,you really need to plot it out first on a sheet of paper then decide if it's worthwhile for you.I'm only posting this because you asked me for my views,you're getting your realistic reply. This market is nasty and awful and has been since 2007,it might get a lot worse so some here might just give up,who knows but one thing sure we've all been badly burned...at these times I hope your God,your friends and relations I hope will help you to bear this. having begun a post to you in reply from earlier.A few months ago I used to post as per this-important- I do not presume to know anything more than anyone and yes I failed by sitting on a rise from 1p to 17p then back down lol! >Not really lol it still hurts very badly.. Anyway what I used to post was- 1. don't sell 2. don't increase your average-not hard in fact probably impossible now! 3. don't average down then finally that most with averages below 10p should be all right long term given a final Dutwa deal.Recently the board said they were making getting a deal their main priority.However now the SP seems to be dropping like a stone.Which gives an alternative providing you wish to stay here,not to sell out, but you decide -you're the boss- Scrape an equivalent amount to re buy your present share stake in AFE but don't worry it will only be "in use" for 5 minutes" and it is going to be a lot cheaper this time.Buy the same number of shares you had originally.Then finally sell all your previous shares right off-you must do it in that order to avourn your scraped up sum safely to the bank-is that safe lol ?This will give you- a. the same number of shares but at a far lower average and cheaper.It is not straight averaging down as you aren't increasing your stake. b. you will rack up a large loss as you've sold your original AFE shares at a big loss.These sells should be put in as losses on your next tax form then you MUST according to HMRC rules declare that loss, each year as a constantly rolled forward capital loss usable against CGT limits legally.Now later there might be a govt. measure to allow all AIM shares to go in an ISA but to do that you'll almost certainly anyway need to sell then rebuy in an ISA anyway,so it comes to the same -either way you get the useful capital loss....It is up to you to make the gains in future to set against that,good luck! Obviously I don't know you as you've not posted here before-welcome here! Today was a very sad and bad day for AFE,I can't find a lower SP presumably going back to the start before 2004 ? You mention me specifically.I have no especial wisdom here,in fact many others know more and give better posts.I've not posted so much recently either,sorry.Like you I am a victim of this financial blizzard,I've taken large losses elsewhere too as many on these boards have,hairy posting today likewise I know.Several posters contributed a lot over the years here like bloo',Ren.seeker,abc and others my poor memory should know,sorry for not mentioning them all. All I can say is from my own experiences.After being hit by the 2008 fiascos,not to average down,though here I broke that one time only.Others I knew back then did average down in their shares trying to fight the market which defeated them inevitably,so you can't fight the market therefore in its worst moods as now.I believe most here at least from what they say at least held off from that mostly.It's now very late,I only discovered your post on getting in late so perhaps I might go on tomorrow ..
