should this rise towards the dividend payment date ? I think potential incomers are being a bit put off by broker saying cannot deal with limits as corporate action coming- can only deal live thus the SP is stuck. When is the dividend paid ?

you've seen two big spikes now,and in both the best tactic was be in about 7p before,then sell quickly on the news.The first time I got held adrift as I came in too late,but last week I managed to get out from it all at a small loss.I'd repeat that again-buy about 7p sell on the news.Next time I should score.Of course news might bring a permanent re rating but I think that's the key mistake in AIM we've made for 2 years thinking a piece of news is the game changer that's not it,a few days after news it settles back,we must sell far faster not get caught adrift.In this case there might in fact be another chance this week ?

not understanding this-can loan notes be converted to IMIC shares ? Do you regard IMIC shares as worth having-you don't think they'll "drop like a stone" after the deal,and are you saying AFF is really taking over IMIC ? From charts I see IMIC hasn't done well recently-fell nearly 1/3 since last summer and still going down..were over 200p in 2005 and now above 20p.

means IMIC won't default after two years on your 20p since by then they will be taken over and AOIG will pay the loan notes easily.

the more I see of this it seems great for AOIG using IMIC as frontmen and then IMIC shares might "drop like a stine"-all the easier to take them over...as they will then have AFF in the bag too getting 2 birds with one stone.

sorry these posts are contradictory after thought I think overall I agree with the mag. -take the 80p/20p choice.

of course you must read the conditions-is it possible for IMIC to drop down between the record date and you getting the shares ?That often happens with dividends.If a company is giving 8p dividend they drop by 8p on the ex dividend date.So from that the 80p/20p is best perhaps that's why the mag. goes for that one.You at least get twice 8% interest over the two years which is about 6% after tax,far better than present intereat rates.Yes you lose 11p as you bought at 91p and get 80p so if you think thi IMIC deal will go through yes average down before then.However provided they don't default ,you will without averaging down get 100p plus your interest less your income tax,also normally no dealing fees.If you take IMIC shares you will pay dealing fees to sell your IMIC shares.

I've been reading about "unsecured loan notes" unsecured means there is no proprty of the loaned to person you can grab in event of a default.In the case of default on the loan note you can still tke the company to court and they may go into bankruptcy in which case you might get a percentage of their assets to cover or more likely partly cover the claim.I'd say if you doubt IMIC you should take the straight IMIC shares and sell right away.Chances are most will do that as though IMIC are backed by AOIG they are a small company,yes they would then have AFF in their hands but still need to get over production hurdles,no idea how unless they in turn later get taken over by the Chinese.So I'd take only IMIC shares sell out then observe happenings if you want you might reinvest later.

on seeing any good news in this market the shareholder says THAT'S GREAT,THat's GReat,Thats Great,that's great etc. down to "I wish I'd sold on that news"..you may not like that,but that's reality.

if all else fails I'll buy one day SKR at 50p and sell for £5 lol.

I had got in at the spike in early March,so my first entry here was too high.This may be another spike who knows ? These days having been trapped long term in several shares my No.1 test is what I see on my screen.If it is inviting I take it.Buy low sell high.The forever maxim.I'll be back.Yes of course with my luck SKR might shoot a lot higher,now.But I was happy with my deal,for now. GL.

I had previously got in too high so I sold there tactically- I'll get back in at a lower price.Just about broke even.Go ahead laugh at me,but this game isn't yet over.

AFF here is getting about 10p bonus on the SP for this bid above the base cash value here.The market isn't too convinced obviously.

there's" buy on the rumour sell on the news"-I think in the last while in most shares my loyalty has defeated me,I need to sell when I see something I regard as "nice" on my screen.Yes at that point.But then feelings of greed creep in.I might be missing a fortune.But by then you can come in with part of your profits later and share in that if it exists.

I think the loan notes yield for two years at 8% which is very good interest.Of course you pay tax on that.But you'll not get that interest rate elsewhere even if rates go up as they might soon.

I might take the IMIC shares then sell immediately,but not if they were dropping like a stone before that ? POSCO might have something better though for us ?
