Mitsubishi could be linked based on Kotaro’s background with them and their mid term strategy to 2024 (released in May) states 1.2 trillion yen for major investments in renewable energy, battery metals, next generation energy (hydrogen, ammonia, biomass).

It’s not clear if the Russians would allow a Japanese buyer under the existing sanctions climate but there again Putin has stated that the artic projects should not be put on hold but accelerated so who knows!

BoD were delighted to be progressing several transactions at the same time before the war so hopefully a good result will come and we’ll get an update with the accounts.

Perhaps this article raises more questions than answers but it’s reassuring to see how important the hydrogen cluster project is at Sakhalin and work continues with adjustments and additional markets being identified.

Clearly Sakhalin is only one aspect of EUA’s hydrogen strategy, but I think we’ll need our reading glasses and an after hours RNS to get up to speed as and when the BoD is able to release an update. It will be interesting to see if Mitsubishi are still involved in Sakhalin generally and if they have anything to do with our projects.

I mention because you could wonder if EUA came up in conversation given that the Presidential Envoy to the Far East had personally “curated” EUA’s hydrogen project:

Above was from January so a different world to where we are now but will be good to see what’s happened since because before the war EUA seemed to be making good progress on the hydrogen projects as noted in the press - more so that big companies like Rosatom according to this:

NN require a Geologist for the Murmansk area, job posted on June 9th so apologies if already discussed.

They have the Rosatom agreement for potential Lithium mining that they were consulting with locals on this month and also the 2 existing assets in the Murmansk district, not sure if they have any other exploration licenses as don’t know my way around the site that shows those.

Also emphasis on not delaying Arctic projects:

Not sure if EUA would be interested if a plan B was needed as we already had the MOEX dual listing option but the more plans available the better since it may help the negotiating position during the sale process. A Russian buyer could also choose to buy and list themselves if needed.

And yet despite all of those reasons not to invest and the Feb RNS being “the last straw”, you “topped up” a few weeks ago before being outed as a trader by way of your boasting about discounted trading fees.

Hopefully EUA has shown that the private sector can take this type of work forward after Rosgeo and there is an end result in terms of a deal in the not too distant for our initial areas. Have a good weekend all.

The Murmansk / Rosgeo isn’t a JV. It’s a framework where Rosgeo do the initial exploration and Murmansk creates conditions that attract investment as well as building up the base of geologists through the education system.
It should lead to further JV’s though as private investment will be needed to further develop the sites Rosgeo identify.

Who knows, maybe Rosgeo like the work they’ve done already in Murmansk and the end goal being a new producing mine(s).

Unless DS has a license to drive the blue trucks I’d imagine his work is as and when needed. I think Artem has been brought in to leverage his own contacts within Russia in case needed but I have no evidence for that.

As others have said, our model is different in that we’re encouraged to explore and sell so hopefully that’s recognised.

To be on the safe side I will nominate myself to walk around with a metal detector on whichever license areas aren’t ready to sell for a couple of weeks until the funds clear under the guise of EUA2. Just need to get hold of a sat nav with Russian maps from someone and a metal detector….

Regarding shorts - No reference to mining deals being signed next week but the Artic and Far East has its own stand at SPIEF 2022 on which some agreements will be signed next week:

As I’ve said, no specific mention of mining deals here or a hint of EUA being there so I’m not adding on this info but if you had a short position, it may play in the back of your mind that something could happen even if it probably won’t based on not much time having past since Artem’s appointment.
