New factory making electrolyzers used to produce Green Hydrogen announced towards the end of June. I’m not suggesting any link to EUA but the product requires Platinum and Iridium which the German Raw Materials Agency says the supply chain for is higher risk.

“Due to the ramp-up of hydrogen production, a high supply risk is already emerging as a result of the low annual production volume, as shown in the projections of the German Raw Materials Agency (DERA).”

The more the better in terms of these types of projects as far as WK is concerned.

If in future NN are affected by sanctions they have a “Plan B” mentioned to move to eastern markets. A ready made EUA business with eastern customers in the pipeline (if we have any) might be of interest. I think we’d just need to keep exploring the other license areas to keep clear of being treated like a Kinross.

Yet they are still courting new international trade and investment there and are speaking with countries like Canada and South Korea who have also implemented sanctions.

Interesting times but the Shell scenario hasn’t come out of the blue and Russia still needs new investment.

Quite a long read and nothing show-stopping but good to see the regional authorities hosting delegates from South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore to discuss ways of increasing trade and investment yesterday.

Not surprised one bit about the Sakhalin2 news for LNG. The Duma said they were working on that area recently and I shared the link at the time. Interesting they don’t want to exclude them completely but require a Russian company to have a controlling stake for the LNG project.

BoD clearly know what they are doing, having already shifted the asset sale focus to local and other BRICS buyers. I think they’ll qualify interest, assess offers and the directives coming from the government and make a decision as whether to wait out the war for better terms or sell if conditions dictate.

In the mean time it’s a case of buy, sell, hold and thanks to the posters who shared that our share register had been updated yesterday showing what DS etc are doing.

Either way, peace would bring a far better deal to the table than selling now unless the BoD announces something they want to recommend in which case it will be because circumstances dictate they recommend it.

He’s subject to a travel ban and his UK assets are frozen according to the BBC - due to him owning Rosbank and having shares in Tinkoff Bank. Not sure if this would affect NN though unless sanctions are escalated. Risky since we don’t have many other options to get Pd in the West.
