Mikey30, Current Cash balance should be c.$29m. From $8.14m spend, $6m (out of total $7m) would have for SL as $1m was already spent last year on materials & supplies, etc. Are you thinking they might have paid $2m to Sinopec for securing Block XX Rig? Sorry if I misread that...

From today's RNS... "At present, the Company has a cash balance of $0.45mm and total debt of $1.9mm." That's all you need to know...financials. Think this will become cheaper. ..."The Company continues to advance discussions to finance the next stage of exploration at the Anzá project in Colombia"...

With just SL and WH upside potential is over +1.3 Billion barrels and some folks still harping on about Block XX delays, which will be drilled later. * SL 90 MMBO * SL 500MMbo (Appraisal Upside) * WH 480 MMBO * WH 750m -1 Bbo (Appraisal Upside) Sexy Upside for Farminees (on standby) is in Blocks IV and V....with potential 23 Billion barrels recoverable. Farminees are looking to Farm-In into Blocks IV and V.....not Block XX at this stage.

Guess what...on Friday pre-open from various negative comments soon after RNS...price was marked lower. Opened lower indeed but within just 3 mins was at 8p. By 8:07 Buys were coming in at 8.24....day High was 8.66 which briefly took us above 8.60 close Thu night. Market read overall suggests there is good news due on Snow Leopard. Not long to go and we should find out in a few days. My own feeling is we will be higher next week as WH punters start taking positions before price runs away too much ahead of WH Spud.....which is happening...make no mistake about it.

VerbierDave, That is an Excellent food for thought and certainly very much plausible. Theory at this stage for sure, but what if plays out exactly that way with Sinopec supplying Block XX Rig also. That would be wonderful. Mike Buck himself said in his interview, that they have the flexibility to move things around if they felt $$$ were better spent in appraising SL or WH further in the case of discoveries. More bang for your buck as there are 'Billions' of barrels in these basins to be discovered. That's why Farminees are waiting on both Block IV and V drills ahead of coming on board as this is where the massive Upside is. Block XX is uniquely attractive in its own right and will be drilled sooner or later for Appraisal type drills. They want to secure Farm-In for both Blocks IV and V, and then letting SuperMajors take it from there, while still retaining massive Upside. MATD can then deploy the spare cash and go after Block XX while Majors continue with Blocks IV and V. That is my viewpoint.

Yep. Quite a lot on paper loss here, myself included, but Company is on the verge of a huge turnaround in its entire history. More positives than negatives here....with mind blowing Upside if all goes well this year and 2019. Fully funded till end of 2019 is the single biggest Plus for me. Not many AIM Oil explorers can provide guidance that far ahead. Most of them struggling with inevitable funding calls near term. We have already crossed that bridge. That on its own puts Matd ahead of the pack. Glass Half full...simples. Strike at either SL and the 5x bigger WH would put share price in a whole New bracket. We have come this far....so just hang in there. If it's too much then sell and move on. Plenty of demand for your shares out there.

Victor, Mike Buck said it before..."Wild Horse is a must drill".... Then SHELL also told them... ..."Make sure you drill Wild Horse"... It's happening...you can panic all you want. What do you think team representatives currently on site at Wild Horse are doing at the moment?

Ok, things not always perfect...granted some past delays and the shambolic previous 2 CEOs....like Mikey30 said, current CEO since taking office has been cleaning up past mess and taken bold steps including latest placing. Very easy to criticise....some not giving Mike Buck credit for the things he has achieved so far. We are in a strong financial position compared to when Bergen was around and now fully funded till end of 2019 with c.$30m cash. Company is now at a turning point drilling as we speak with lot more to come. Mike got to grips with the beureacracy and realised how things are done in Mongolia. Look at UK Brexit saga....we only about 6 months away from March 2019 Brexit deadline.....still no deal??? And we are supposed to be advanced economy? Share price will soon respond to Operational success. CEO is not a trader, hence not concerned with daily price fluctuations. It will take care of itself.

Frankly...We are wasting time explaining to some morrons, that WH is on track. Team is on site and preparing for Rig arrival after operations are completed at SL. ....yet some cannot read the RNS for their own agendas... It's all there.

As previously disclosed, the Wild Horse 1 well, which is targeting prospective resources of 480 million barrels of oil, has been named by industry specialists Wood Mackenzie as one of the top 20 exploration wells worldwide to watch in 2018. Representatives of the Company's community relations team are in Block IV preparing for the arrival of the rig. Once the rig completes operations at the Snow Leopard site it will mobilise to Block IV for drilling of the Wild Horse 1 well some 300 kilometres to the west.

Proselenes, Some awesome posts today. Appreciate you taking the time out. Just to add, the STOIIP in the 6 basins is an estimated 90 Billion barrels. 23 Billion barrels recoverable is after applying 25% recovery factor. Other 6 of the 12 basins currently not at an advanced stage. Overall potential hence could be even higher once those other 6 basins are developed which is something one of the Super Majors will probably take on down the road. Got plenty Oil to deal with in these 6 basins first. This is a Multi-year play with mammoth Upside.

Jim, That is a good question. I think Macquarie got shares in lieu of fees? Need to confirm from the RNS. If they got shares, then would be in their own interest to sort out finance Or farm In partner sooner....whichever comes first. Will just have to wait whenever news comes, as none of us know state of play in the background.

Proselenes, Excellent post. That also seems to be the general read from market reaction on Friday. They onto something at SL otherwise would have got any bad news out of the way. Yesterday was perfect timing to do so...but they did not. Mike Buck being fully aware of shenanigans in Block XX drilling back in 2010/11, would want to confirm things first before announcing results to market. They could already have had Oil shows but await wire logs data to gain more confidence before putting final drill results out. Should find out soon. * WH coming up straight after SL also. * Super Majors on standby. Defo do not want to be out of this one.

D1nger, Good post. Good reference to AIM rules also. They are there for good governance purpose. I said earlier in the day, today was there chance to announce any bad news on SL if there was any.....but they didn't. Instead they seem to be positive on progress so far by the looks. Should be in the main zone now so next 10 days should confirm overall results. Otherwise they would have pulled the Rig out and mobilised to WH by now. Looking forward to next week with even greater interest.
