Newmont know how valuable the AnzA gold deposit is... Why else would they buy in at +102% premium. They know they will get ROI many many times over.

Canada getting in the act also now.

Took another 50k while we still at these low prices. Before Herd moves in.....LoL

Newmont news slowly sinking in now by the looks.

Bought some few days ago around 0.62 thinking I can handle 0.5 Placing....but 0.30 is just taking the biscuit. Crooked advisors?....comes to mind. We going to have close to 1 Billion shares in issue soon......really nice :-(

Going forward, I am sure under AIM rules, they would put some kind of a waiver in place as over 30% Equity would trigger Newmont having to make a Bid for OMI.

I think Ggp got to c. £100m MCap. with 3.2 Billion shares in issue at the time.

Spike, That's cool mate. Newmont added +102% premium to market price to come up with 9.1 cents a share for 20% equity stake (buying common stock of OMI). That is directly buying 20% of OMI. They want to increase this to 75% - 80% ownership interest over the years. I would expect Future shares being issued at a significant premium to current price.

Mannan, Will not be surprised at all, if this storms above previous 18p. Somebody said yesterday this was £3.00 few years back as all time high. I will settle for half of that anytime.

Spike912, There is only 117m shares in issue. Newmont 29m shares has 4 month lock in period. Plus Newmont not selling, they are increasing their Ownership Interest to take control of the massive AnzA gold deposit. Perfect storm brewing. High gold grades already with lot more to come.

Yep but that was after a -90% drop from 18p last Sep. Newmont deal turned this on its head, who paid +102% premium to get in. They know how big AnzA gold deposit is. Best recovery play now. Only £8m MCap with worlds largest gold producer on board now.

You only need to look at PYC as recent example of what sentiment & momentum does when there is a tiny free Float of shares. PYC stormed to over +30p (intra-day high) in just 2 days from about 1p based on Deal hype... We already got Worlds largest Gold producer taking a 20% stake in OMI at 102% premium.

True, but still think they do not need to jamm it all into a single RNS while Market keeps waiting leading to all kinds of conspiracy theories. Another 7-10 days or so for SL news. Getting there slowly but surely.

Problem is new placees will sell into any rise and slam it down again and keep doing it until overhang clears. Happens on all shares with placees. I am just stunned at the 0.30 issue price and the sheer size of 733m new shares issue. That's a lot of overhang to get through.

Janiax, Its Supply / demand. Tiny free Float makes it worse with more or loss NT to buy. Newmont news will spread further in coming days...before new punters take it over 10p. If not many sellers around, then for new demand, MMs will have no choice but to raise it to attract some sellers. Selling and trying to get back in lower is not working.....lol
