[Rhodium] has rocketed because of emission requirements.

Eighty per cent of the world’s rhodium mining occurs in South Africa and 68 per cent comes from just three companies — Sibanye, Impala and Amplats.

But there are a couple of ASX-listed explorers that count rhodium among the metals they are on the hunt for.

 Who is in rhodium?

There is no shortage of small caps searching for platinum group metals but only a handful are exploring specifically for rhodium.

What was already a short list was further cut last year when Botswana-focused Nkwe Platinum (ASX:NKP) was acquired by Chinese resources investment group Zijin.

Only two stocks have platinum metals projects that include rhodium estimates — one is Impact.

The other stock formally in the game is Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV). The company is better known for its Pilbara gold efforts, but it earned a big stake in a palladium project in 2018.

The Munni Munni project deal was done with Platina Resources (ASX:PGM). Platina’s main focus these days is its New South Wales scandium project and Californian zinc-copper-gold project.

Munni Munni has a total resource of 23.6 million tonnes including 0.1g/t of rhodium, equating to 76,000oz. It also contains 1.1g/t of platinum and 1.5g/t of palladium amounting to 830,000oz and 1.1 million ounces respectively.

EH one of Australia’s highest grade silver mine and other base metals & PGM. Being reopened after 20 years. Largely untapped since last JORC 4Moz.

Munni Munni - highly prospective with old JORC 2.2Moz in place been left untapped for a decade. Back then palladium was around $250 and Rhodium was only $1000 per Oz.

Alien Metals taking 100% of both now is really dream come true.

Bigger PGM players like Sibanye, Impala, Amplats could get involved here.

Palladium up another $50 today around $1835 well below $2400 previous high.

Rhodium price has Quadrupled over past year to over $14,100 per oz.

Artemis busy with their other projects and did nothing much over last 2 years at Munni Munni but happy to become a significant shareholder in UFO to participate in all the upside knowing that Alien is aggressively going after both EH and Munni Munni using same base camp.

Respectively i would disagree. Their dilution at either Asset level or share level. Artemis 50% holding is locked in for a year from what i can see.
Given the demand for PGMs especially Rhodium which is so rare. I think Chalice Mining "Julimar" deposit did not have Rhodium, only palladium and platinum and it still went to A$3billion Mcap on 11Moz platinum resource.

Munni Munni already got (in addition to palladium, platinum, nickel) 76,000 oz of Rhodium so far with current market price now @ $14,100 per oz. Lot more to come.

They got 8 man field camp now ready to go after both EH and Munni Munni.

You grab opportunity when it presents or you lose your slot in the queue. In one years time we might not have got a chance to grab 100% of Munni Munni PGM deposit.

South Africa produces 80% of worlds PGM. Only 2 Australian companies looking for PGMs especially Rhodium, one of them was Artemis (now UFO). EH and Munni Munni value could dwarf any other asset we got in a year or two by some distance.

Mexico is drill ready sitting in highest producing province near by Fresnillo. We already raised funds. Some nice juicy grades and someone is going to pounce.

This is a Masterstroke. Could easily go like Julimar PGM discovery. Chalice Mining went from cents to $$$....0.50c to A$10.68 high in just a year.

Hanc0ck Phase 3 drilling underway. So obviously they are fast tracking iron ore. They will also be starting Brockman this year. Hence reason to set up separate company IOCA.

If BHP, RIO lets say did JV for upfront cash at Hanc0ck for 50% then they would also take 50% of future profits from Hanc0ck iron ore project.

Artemis probably wanted Shares in UFO to retain their upside from the Platinum Group metals at Munni Munni.

DSO resource from Hanc0ck is expected to be lot more than current 10.5 million tonnes (without even touching the massive Brockman iron ore deposit).

Prices are being further buoyed by increasing production at Chinese steel mills after stringent curbs on volumes earlier this year.

Iron ore in Singapore jumped as much as 4% to $129.45 a ton, the highest since mid-October, before trading at $128.20 at 3:35 p.m. local time. Dalian futures rose 4.2%, while steel rebar and hot-rolled coil eased in Shanghai.

I know what you mean, but this company on totally different footing now and in a strong financial position also. So re-rate could be pretty regular with throughout the year newsflow without having any stigma regards surprise placing as we funded till end of 2022.

Alien Metals got hard assets. Some companies just go up on hot air and then come back down with no news for months. This could be last chance for low entry here. Would love to get RNS this week, you never know for a nice Christmas. First week Jan is fine by me also.

I had a little punt back in Oct 2020 not having researched Alien Metals at all.

But after having researched it now, i was pleasantly surprised with how undervalued this is currently having hit 1.24p just 2 months ago. Yes last year been bit slow share price wise, but management has put in lot of hard yards for the fruit to be delivered to market. We now on the cusp of major re-rate with regular news flow throughout 2022 from EH, Munni Munni, Hanc0ck etc. Mexico silver permits another one & Brockman.

Hanc0ck current resource alone worth over $1.2B
$50-60 profit/tonne on 10.5 million tonnes, you can do the maths.

UFO could repeat the 4 week run back in Oct 2020 hitting over 3p in Double quick time. Been long overdue also.

lot of folks been taking advantage of the Sale. Placees who paid 0.85 must also be looking for a substantial return on their entry price.
