I was pleasantly shocked when i did a rough estimate that so far only 100m of the 2 billion barrels been produced so far from the proven and producing Eastern Mongolia blocks.

Petrochina started producing in 2005 and using an average rate of 18,000 bopd over 16 years to end of 2021....thats just about 100m barrels so far.

18000 x 365 days x 16 years = 105m barrels

There is still 1.9 Billion barrels to come out of the ground from Eastern Mongolia blocks, 19, 20, 21.

Petro Matad block 20 could be sitting on much larger chunk than originally estimated +700m barrels of oil in place.

Thats a good point. We can fund our own wells from Heron-1 revenues. Just like Petrochina did all these years.

Petrochina JV should be a win win for ALL parties coz then we can lot more wells from Heron connected to current infrastructure and make lot more revenue and pretty fast.

Refinery is simply to process the oil in to refined final product inside Mongolia.

Petrochina been trucking their oil from Blocks 19 and 21 to their Chinese refinery just across the border for years which is where Heron oil will also be sent as per MOU signed with Petrochina.

You do NOT need Mongolian refinery today. We can start producing Oil from Heron oil field this year in Q2 (Apr - June) when we good to go.

Price is already benchmarked against Brent crude less a small discount which is what MATD been negotiating with them.
