I've said it in the past. Holding SAE for years now, the company was recently under valued and probably still is. They have proven that Uskmouth is still worth another £30m which would cover most of their debt. With the revenue they now have and reduced cost, they might be worth rather something around 15GBX atm.. not pricing in any potential they have in the tidal sector.

That's just when you Assume Uskmouth is worth what it obviously is provided they already got around £12m for the BESS land lease

It's true, wind and solar suppliers already complained in the past that the competition that CfDs bring make it hard to actually bid because of the little risk margin.

The GW target is probably the policy change we need..

Any chance that the ring fenced budget still gets an increase this round? I red something some time ago that said that this would still be an option. But it doesn't seem as if that's going to happen in CfD AR6?

At the end of the day, imo, CfDs have the biggest potential to change the game.

So, while we can look forward to some improvements, most of us will still have to remain patient and wait for their investments to recover. 0.014 GBX isn't really the target price I was hoping for. We'll have to remain patient and hope for the needed political support.

Better is good enough for me for now.

Like I said. I'm not complaining. Averages down to 4 GBX. Still deep red of course but SAE will surpass this if things go well for sure.

Just could've been a 3GBX on my end. Invested €17k so far.

It's telling that this comes out as I decided to place a limit order for 100k shares that'll never execute as the SP goes up 🤣

Tbh, as pessimistic as I may appear sometimes, I see a 10x potential from where we are at the moment. We are talking £50m to £60m market cap, which is nothing for a company that hosts 1GW of battery storage and has the potential to lead UKs tidal industry. If go as far as saying that SAEs valuation wouldn't stop there if things go even better for the sector..

But all this is still only speculation until we have some certainty from the UK government.

I have no doubt that, the second there's some tangible commitment, SAE is going to "moon".

The risk does match the potential

One would think that achieving milestones and receiving payments in the proximity of the market cap would change anything, but apparently this is not enough.

SAE needs to be louder?

This is the interesting part imo: if 230MW gets you £10m, then you'd get Ober £40m for 1GW.

That's over £40m vs £52m of debt.

Means.. If SAE is able to lower operating costs s.t. they can cover the remaining (less than) £12m, then we can consider the company as soon-to-be profitable.

Add CfDs and the potential of lowering cost, and the company might be insanely under-valued at the moment.

So.. why are we still only at 1GBX?

Would be nice although there's still some things that could delay the reveal of the winners of the CfD.

Let's see. I think we can expect SAE another slice of the pie. It's just a pitty that it's not a larger budget but still.. slowly but surely these contracts add up
