Howey - that looks like offshore rates - an onshore sidetrack would be drilled for about £10-£20k a day for the rig and maybe double that for the all up rate including all the services. the great saving is also you don't need a new pad
"@ Mirasol "... no foreign jurisdiction" blah blah. There are jurisdictions where ICSID awards can be enforced whilst annulment requests are proceeding."
Care to name them? All the cases I've seen required a hearing in the Country where you intended to seize the assets

"Development starts with FID, surely?" it costs millions to do an FDP - - normally its charged to the JV as part of the development costs - if Premier did that then RKH will have trouble claiming they didn't benefit

"The BOD could off challenged the decision of NSTA and they've chose not to go down that route. "
I don't think, off hand, anyone has ever challenged a DTI/OGA/NSTA technical decision in public. In fact I've never heard of anyone challenging them even in private and winning anything significant. The problem is the time and the costs - it would be ages before it ever made it to court for example.

"There cannot now be a tax liability,"
FIG will point to all the money spent by Premier et al over the years o development work. If RKH didn't pay their share that's a clear benefit................. If we'd had to pay then the dilution here would have reached UKOG size
"methinks email(s) should focus on ascertaining specific reasons(s) why NSTA would refuse P8 application. because P8 crucial."
They said in the RNS - inability to meet the NSTA's concerns about gas flaring. The NSTA are tasked with reducing flaring on 2 counts - one it wastes hydrocarbons, two it adds to the countries overall emissions.
