"The CPR was written without a visit to the site and it was written by data supplied by the chuckle brothers at Rathlin."
Pboo that 's normal practise - if they did visit the site it would only to check it actually exists (don't laugh - there have been cases in the USA and Canada..) but there's loads of evidence for that (Ruth for a start). They wouldn't pick up a single piece of info on the reservoir by looking at it.
And again it's normal practise to use the Operators data - there isn't anything else.
they do use other data (as in the W Canadian analogs) where necessary
What is clearly missing is a narrative about the history of exploration, why they swing from gas to oil to gas and why the test didn't flow - even the fact there WAS an extremely expensive test isn't mentioned on a first read through..
"What makes you think they have a choice not to pay up ? This is a lawful decision made as part of an International treaty which the country of Italy signed up to."
Oh of course - have you ever been to Italy? have you ever worked there?
lets say the law can take an awful long time to grind through its actions there. I suspect RKH will have to go the attachment route but that will also be fought tooth and nail by the lawyers. And it will cost us something. Eventually we'll see the money but that may well be years away

"I wouldn’t be surprised to see a devaluation of sterling."
that's what we see every day now - there isn't a fixed rate and hasn't been one since the glory days of the 90's. After that anyone sitting on a fixed rate is just a big target for the traders
