Welcome- EOG have plenty of assets and potential, but have difficulty getting the drill bit in the ground. If you are looking for short term gains you are probably better off putting your hard earned $ elsewhere. Think most of the long termers here are waiting on planning permission approval or not of Wressle and Holmwood before deciding to stick or twist.

J profit? Thought it was a 0.7m loss according to the latest results. I think we all recognize the potential of EOG and its assets. It's just the snails pace manner and the lack of drive perception to get there which annoys me.

Oils... not so hasty. It's only been a month since EOG stated they would consult with the JV and reply to SCC. They must be really busy trying to get these Irish farm outs in place or early Xmas shopping.

EOG issues - T and T. I always want to discuss with fellow investors here. I currently work for a small oil company with MC of $500m. We drill, we have to put safety and environmental cases before local governments. I get team on board who are good at what they do and I pay them well to deliver otherwise they are gone. Now, is Hugh the right man? or has he been let down by his subordinates? in which case he has to go or find new people. The way things are going i think us share holders are getting ripped off. A quarterly news letter full of hopes does not cut the mustard with me, and we all should be stating that now including you J.

Disagree Tovoc - from my own personal experience as an oil and gas engineer they have handled SCC as complete amateurs. They also should have been pressing Egdon over Wressle when it was first refused to ensure it does not happen again and yet it did. The schedule for the onshore development slips over and over again, yet nobody loses their job in EOG a result. Its time to get professional doers in to ship this dross out.

Agree, if we had Angs management instead of the EOG do nothing lot then SP would be higher.

Dist - you have taken a while to write your post but at the end of the day EOG and its peers will not step outside their ivory tower offices and talk to people. That's the way you deal with councils and the people they represent. As much as we here about the +ves from your posts there is a lot lacking from the communication side, not just to us shareholders but with the people who will be affected by the project both short term and long term. Unless I can hear something that makes me feel more positive I am going to bail out of EOG and put my money elswhere- by that I mean dismissals and taking people on who know how to move this forward.

Yup! Well all the operators need to sit down and talk with SCC or complain to higher authorities that SCC are being deliberately obstructive. Seems EOG are not the only ones with inept employees capable of sorting this out.

force - we are nowhere near half full. My impression with EOG atm is that they just watch and hope from the sidelines. They don't seem to have anybody in the company who is pro-active enough to get things done. That is why we sit with an SP of 5p ish, the market does not lie.

Sure thing if we had the management to get us there. Compared with its peers EOG are all moon and no rockets at the moment. No chance of 25p with current progress on development of its assets.

and the reason for that is that they are drilling and producing unlike EOG. If the two planning permission issues are easily answered, why were they not addressed earlier by EOG? I would like to see a statement from Hugh and his crowd along the lines of ether 1. Appeal or 2. We are confident that all SCC's concerns will be addressed to the former's satisfaction. EOG just dither atm and that is why we are stuck at 5p. The silence from the bod is deafening.
