Probably because Hugh and his mates were locked in the data room for the past 18 months and did not keep an eye on the onshore balls. Thankfully EDR are taking care of Wressle. EOG should sell Holmwood to ANGS or someone similar who know what they are doing and what it takes. I hope the sacrifice of the onshore assets is worth it Hugh.

I was just trying to help someone out based on my own experience. Take a look at the top 5 fallers today. No doubt the high was yesterday's close price. The low? Well you can all read. 5%, 10% 15% SL being filled I doubt very much and probably executed at the low of the day. Nothing more to be said really. Beware in AIM.

Dear fox, I sympathize but unfortunately you will not get much joy. i think most of us who use stop losses will have had a similar thing happen. Whist there are benefits to using SL's you are effectively showing your hand to the market. you are basically saying I want to sell my shares as soon as the bid hits 12p (or below!!!). If the SP is falling quickly you have no guarantee of selling at your target price. This is not the same when you set a limit order if you wish to buy shares. If the SP rises above a limit order you will not be filled. You should also be aware that there are a lot of day traders around who will be in and out on half penny changes and this will cause fluctuation in the SP. In future I would recommend you just keep a mental stop loss or trigger alerts on your mobile phone and then you can act accordingly with better control. Sorry for your losses but I believe ANGS will be out of the teens once the oil is produced.

Your right Tacuma, after what we all read in the press yesterday and following the statement in the annual report by HM I would have expected a response.

I am concerned now and feel like the Irish dream is in the wrong hands. I think EDR will pull things off to get us out at 6p. Lack of communication has the same semblance of other AIM CEOs promising the moon but don't have a rocket.

Oilfest - fair point but in 2017 nobody was aware of the political and tree hugger/nimby influence it would have on delays to approvals to explore or produce. More patience is required. I can understand everyone's frustration but it is clear from the latest results that finalization of Irish Atlantic 3D seismic will be issued in October. Inishkea wont be ready seismic wise until December when data room and farm out will be offered with the proviso for a 2019 drill. Exxon will be drilling in 2019 which may de-risk some of the projected reserves. Wressle now needs to be left to EDR and the due process of planning. I cannot see much else happening and the SP may drift lower on low volume sells. Current production covers costs remember.

Geng - agree real prize is elsewhere but we require the onshore oil to have revenue to help claim that prize. Last thing I want to see is for W and HH to be approved, sp rises to 9-10p only for a highly discounted placing that takes us back to 5-6p. Farm in to the IA is critical by year end with a drilling programme. The EOG share of any drill will have to be funded from somewhere so they need the revenues from onshore UK. There needs to be no more mess ups with these planning applications.

Yup but you saw what happened today 7.5p tree shake and 12 p bandwagon. Those in for the long haul will reap the rewards. Today was a big hurdle to jump over and we did it. Irrespective of today's close it will be the results of the flow tests that make it go Boom.
