Current and recent governments are blinkered, or just stupid, in trying to incentivise petroleum imports versus home production. Corrupt economies benefit (e.g.Venezuela Nigeria Russia), carbon emissions increase to ship it round the world, our economy gets depressed and balance of payments suffers. Plus less tax take going forward. How do we deserve these clowns: must have done something very bad?

In Jackie silence; might I offer, Yes but a bit fiddly. Lots of sites will offer you the sp on a particular date, that's not the problem. The shares in issue will take longer, RNSs are best source but might have to look around. I only do this when I really need to know. If anyone knows an easier way, don't be shy!
