I too thought that but note that Paul haywood was a Director of Eagle Gas 2 years before Simon Gorringe and Paul Soulsby so its Paul Haywood who has head hunted / let Simon join the Board of Eagle Gas not the other way round. It therefore suggests to me that Paul Haywood needs a little help in being pointed in the right direction as to what investments / possibilities are out there.
As good as Paul is in bringing on a company once being part of its ivestment, Block Energy springs to mind, he may not necessarily be as astute in the selection process, the complete opposite to Simon who might see the possibilities from scratch of a Company but just fails at every corner after that, could be an ideal fit. Victor Hwang may have neither just a wad of cash to come in on the steepest profit curve, money makes money and all that.
Who knows, but we shall soon find out.

Always nice for all oilies when the POO is on the up / stabilised at a decent high level but lets not forget all of RBD's NPV evaluations are set at with oil @$55 a barrel.
Providing we stay at $55 we will realise the NPV's quoted and currently the extrta $20 a barrel will be all profit and a big upgrade bonus to the current NPV's.

One thing's for sure and that is we have new investors and some quality ones at that, I do rate Paul Haywood very highly and as for Victor Hwang it would appear he has deep pockets, he must have made his money somehow and will want to continue making money, hopefully we will be alongside him when he does :¬)

Thanks Greg, it just seems a huge amount, over half a trillion cu/ft with all infrastructure ready to 'plug in to' for no one to be interested, the payback for those that dare is off the scale and a JV would spread the risk financially.
How difficult it would be to renew the license I don't know or how long that would take.

Morning Greg, the new shareholders would have invested for a reason and obviously it will be nothing to do with Colter South so looks like fresh venture/s. We do know there are 500 bcf - 600 bcf at Badger with nearby producing gas fields and infrastructure. The total costs for drilling to production was estimated at $12m, a drop in the ocean for a big player / JV team when turnover ( not profit) value of circa $3bn ( 500m x $6 per 1000 cuft) is possible.
With the surrounding fields producing with gas pipelines it comes across as more of an appraisal so worth the risk/reward imo. Others may disagree.

It could be there will be more than one new venture of course, India Govt giving a lot of incentives / cashback for Investing Companies who bring their knowledge and expertise in to extract home grown hydrocarbons as India having to import oil to the tune of $100bn annually.

As you say it will be interesting to see how it all pans out, especially after the last few months we have had.

Hi bob, when you look at all the fanfare and trumpeting behing UKOG and put it into comparison then California alone will blow them out of the water.
I was in UKOG for years and after all the promise 6 years later from the highest historical flow rates in onshore UK History ( Horse Hill 1688 bopd dry API 41 ) they are now looking at a stabilised 220 bopd Portland and hope, I repeat hope to get 700 - 1000 bopd when and if all the ducks line up from the Kimmeridge, they own 67% so will probably end up with 500 - 600 bopd net perhaps a little more.
Not knocking UKOG at all but their current MarCap is £70m and ours £25m and we will be producing far more from just California, my point it does show how shrewd Steve & Sachin have been with targeting appraisal wells in the main and not exploratory from both economics and timetable.
Parta also has a lot of running room / upside possibilities so that could also mirror California in many additional wells

Thanks Badger I actually agrree mate, don't think at this stage it is clear cut for Perenco or whomever to come in and say yes I'll take the 15m barrels off your hands blah blah but that we will see an update of how they intend ( the JV's partners) to move it forward to the monetisation stage.
I do think the 15m barrels is big enough to have interested parties especially with additional significant shows of hydrocarbons present akin to already producing fieldsat Wytch Farm, just a matter of time as you say.

Chris Oil is well known as a bit of a self serving egoist and this does not disappoint.
He is quoting 100% COS and 640 bcf when its actually 72% COS and 189 bcf, still exceptionally good but its an obvious ramp to PI's to invest with the agenda being for self gain.

The interviewer does not help matters either with direct how much money did you make etc etc, a bit cringeing but shows the difference in quality and class when compared with Steve & Sachin.
I do agree with the prognosis that West Newton could be a game changer especially if Cadeby is a success.

Not going to defend Gorringe one way or another, I don't know him, like him or dislike him, but I am assuming he is the person within ADL that is driving any deal behind the scenes be it Eagle Gas or other, who else is there?

So for me it shows he is still trying and hopefully is pulling out all the stops to get a succesful outcome.

I don't blame him for Colter as RBD, UOG, BOIL, as well as us and others were all perceiving it as a high probability of success, we may still get something from that but I still see that as a toss of a coin unfortunately.

If indeed we are taking part in funding and deals in India, Georgia, Indonesia or North Sea then I will allow him the chance through RNS's to inform us what we are at and where we are going before condemning him.

I know of his past failings but as CEO there is no one else at the moment and his association of being on the board of Eagle will have let him rub shoulders with Paul Haywood who I agree one hundred per cent is the man of the moment and gives us all hope where 2 months ago I thought we were dead in the water.

He can't change the past but he can certainly shape the future, or try to, I will give him the chance of one last roll of the dice.

Irrespective of % ownership it may suggest that a deal / activity of some sort with regards to Eagle is in the offing, otherwise why so may new shareholders suddenly appearing on the scene. looks like some funding has been raised imo.

Hi QT I think some of th decent sized 'sells' may well be BED & ISA's as was my £20k last week and others on here actually showed as sells when technically they wre neither a buy or sell just a sideways movement of shares already held.
As stated last week I was given an sp priceof 0.55 much lower than BID / ASK at the time so chuffed to bits as more shares under the tax umbrella than expected ( got 3.6m thursday where today.2.85m for same money)

Hi Greg nice to see you back mate wasn't aware a placing of 0.1 ws being touted about, hopefully that was just games being played to drive sp down further.
Are you stll as confident as you were a few weeks ago that news is not only due but will push us through the Optiva placing price of 0.45p.

Steve & Sachin stated they would have been happy with100 bopd from VG-4 and were blown away to get nearly 5 times that. 480 bopd from an onshore well is the stuff of dreams, we have got that and once the gas tie in is sorted its all systems go, as annoying as it is this is temporary.
