I sunk a fair chunk of money into VLS today after much research and the addition of info from these BBs. I don't tend to take advice from bloggers but its sometimes a quick route in to research so thank you. You know who you are. My take is that VLS have developed a world class asset and spent a lot of money in the process so I am buying into a ready to go company. Not blue sky any longer and I don't have to finance the development. They are what can only be described as the beginning of a meaningful revenue stream with a Red Rock order which has already seen $6mn come our way with another $45mn to come although most of that will come over a period of years. Red Rock should come through with more orders and therefore more revenue for VLS at some point. But nevertheless VLS are revenue producing. There are other projects which should come to fruition some time. You know the ones. VLS are in the right area as far as I can see, renewable energy. Very popular with the investors I reckon and very popular with governments. Whats not to like about that. Listening to the CEO, VLS are now busy cementing strategic partnerships with companies that will take the donkeywork out of getting orders. VLS will get carried along with their success. It won't be a question of hawking their wares around the world which is very tiring and time consuming. These other companies will give reach and energy that VLS, a small company, could only dream of. Anyway, thats why I'm invested and I thought you might be interested to hear my reasons as I'm a new investor here. I don't know about VLS being a 10 bagger, my ambitions are more modest, but I can certainly see the SP doubling this year. Lots of upside from here with not a lot of downside risk although, this being AIM, the SP could well retreat some but I'm used to that as I bet most of you are.

Many thanks Dave. I'm sure you are right. You have to start somewhere and VLS has more than one iron in the fire. VLS seems a good place to put some long term money, even the CEO is talking about a 5 year timespan. I've only seen one video, which is on their website, and it looks like any upcoming news, there could lots, will be about strategic partnerships. I don't think they will set the Market alight with these but are necessary for their long term plans and should be greeted with glee by the LTHs. It looks like a question of lining all the ducks up for the time being. I may be wrong. I don't know how to value VLS, as an outsider, but the Market doesn't give a lot of value to potential like it used to. Its all about "show me the money" which is affecting all stocks, especially AIM. If things go according to plan, or nearly, Then holders here have a good investment and I wish you all luck.

Please enlighten me. I'm not a holder but have periodically looked st these BBs, even in the days of Oxford Catalysts. Good piece of news but someone mentioned 10 more projects yet to be announced. I've looked at the current VLS website but can only find 2 or 3 mentioned projects. What have I missed and why is news imminent? Help me out guys.

I think its a question of who's got the most to sell and who's got the most to buy. There seems to be both AT sellers and buyers.

Does anybody know which Schroders fund is holding CERP?

I'm thinking of ordering a beginners guide to charting. Its called "An investor's guide to Charting: An Analysis for the Intelligent Investor by Alistair Blair." Has anybody read it or have any views?

Aduk, maybe but there were lots of blocks of "A" trades so it looked like someone wanted a large amount and didn't want to affect the SP too much. Today's "O" trades are a bit of a mixed bag but, judging by the direction of the SP, it looks like some are consolidating profits. I don't think, on balance, Sound Oil, if thats what you are referring to, would affect HUR but those that might be switching are not outnumbering those taking profits,although I agree that the scenario would lead to an increase in "O" trades. Nevertheless, The number of "A" trades don't look as many as yesterday. What it all means I have no idea nor if its relevant.

Hell of a lot of "A" trades yesterday. Today its mainly "O" trades. Don't know what the relevance is, if any, but maybe a large order has been filled. Might have been our new chairman buying in before he is officially part of the BOD.

As a know nothing, I have always been amazed at the practice of flaring in what seems huge amounts. It seems so wasteful. I'm extremely surprised that a way hasn't been found to harvest it. I was looking at a company called Oxford Catalysts, I think its called Velocys now, who had found a way to turn the gas in to liquid fuel on board ship. When we can develop technology to do amazing things I find it hard to believe that we are in the same situation. maybe our reliance on Russian gas and the tensions developing will spur governments to press for a solution. I'm sure some of you guys from the industry have knowledge of the difficulties that have prevented things happening.

Boyzee, thanks for that. So although there appears to be plenty of trades and interest those of PIs are quite small it seems.

There are an awful lot more A trades these days. What is the significance if any, anybody?

I'm a bit thick when it comes to understanding these things so if you can spell it out for me I would be grateful. It looks like PPC are netting $33 per barrel at PF. Is this after all OPEX including Tax? Not sure at all about what this means.
