What is they really want to see from any IPP applicant/tender? At the moment it seems they are not sure what they want. If they do not know how can any applicant?

I believe they do want power and of course they want affordable power. what is affordable in their mind?

Does affordable mean that industry can afford it to support industrialisation? Or that foreign grids can afford it as an import?

Are they focused on private residential affordability, which is the toughest nut to crack. Also in terms of capacity for generation and transmission.

I am not sure that Tanesco knows how to prioritise distribution with costs. Not a business issue but a political one.

IPP will have an immediate workable affordable solution to support industrialization and exports. Is this what the TG wants now or does it want a full suite of solutions, if so they better get on and agree 1000mw!! NOW

If any of the material items ion here still outstanding for each project was to have changed that would have seen an RNS.

I believe that October 18 is a pivotal moment if for no other reason that it confirms that the process is working or it ends up as a very public shambles.

Timelines for the other outstanding project functions to be completed will start to unwind before year end is out.

The key question, short term is are the BOD going to cut back costs, mainly their own as there is no income.

I am hoping that after the AGM we will get a better idea of what the BOD are thinking

I have written to the BOD and requested that there be a Q & A format to the meeting as the recent announcement makes this AGM more than the usual rubber stamp exercise.

I have supplied three questions:

1/ Will the BOD cease or reduce income in favour of options.

2/ There seems to be a lot of BOD members for a small near dormant company. Will this now be reviewed as part of cost restructuring?

3/ Did the agreement with Noble lock out discussions with third parties?

The Chinese have been masters at massaging GDP figures and no one there speaks out. Then again the world bank have no real influence there either.

This particular issue centers around funding a specific office producing statistics.

As for LC not updating us I think this is more a case of confidentiality agreement with Tanesco as part of the Tender process.

We will know in about two weeks time.
