Just cannot see many with the financial means to buy them for mass production. There will be an oil demand decay. I suspect the next 10/15 years will not see the demise of oil to the point that demand is much less than it is today as more developing nations with far lower Income per capita increase the number of affordable vehicles on the road.

There will come a time when science and technology will provide viable alternatives. Burning oil in the manufacturing process.

The last three years has since an average of 8Bb pa new discoveries for a total of 24bn billion barrels. The last three years do not even start to match one years consumption.

How much of present production is going to be dry hole in the next 12 months? Discoveries made 2011 to 2014 are coming on line. Just as well as the increase in demand shows what is needed.
