The investor show is hardly a measure of anything except self publicity. LC had a choice be there or be in Tanzania at the completion of Mou to move on to PPA let alone early development with MCIPP. If LC had been in London at that time. I, for one would want to know why he was on a jolly instead of being at the figuritive and literal coal face.

You could have attended the AGM and spoke to LC, you chose not to, as did I. LC is not responsible for how the TG conduct themselves and it it is highly speculative to suggest that he knew anything in advance re forthcoming policy changes.

As for future value of the other projects i find it hard to discern why some would think those projects have little if any value

Bearing in mind the PPA was worked on by both Tanesco and Kibo I find it hard to believe that Kibo would submit something not profitable. should it have been too much of a disadvantage to Tanesco they would not have agreed a MOU in the first place. Let alone supplied 40 bodies to help get it to submission status.

I think there is a danger of seeing too much into a revised process.

I do not believe their relationship with Sino is anywhere near developed as Kibo is with Sepco.

I think this tender process has probably stalled more than a few from advancing as they do not have the papers to support the requirements.

this first time up tender process is going to favour a few. who they are is not yet known, except for Kibo and Tancoal partners

i am more concerned about what rules they have, if any, should the process be regarded as a ''Fail'' on account of ''insufficient parties to the process''

For all the issues that IEC have you cannot argue with their coal sales and profitability. Will an SML allow Kibo to gain such benefits as identifies in the chart at the bottom of the attached post?

Sepco are the shovel ready backers. They do not have the expertise to progress the myriad of documents to get this project this far. they could own it and find they are faced with a series of deadlines they cannot meet and this may cause them huge problems with the Tg. At the moment they are risking very little and may feel that this is the preferred way forward.

They are around and happily being positive about what they are invested in.

I think the big factor is that the Tg despite a public opening of the Tenders have not yet gone public!

Jd I think you are heading in the right direction.

I also suspect if the TG had been flooded with tenders they would have been screaming from the rooftops on how wonderful they are to attract such interest. Yet the silence remains golden.

What we do not know is how the protocols work. Do the TG need a minimum number of Tenders to justify the process?, if not, is this process re run, say in 3 months time?.

If the TG were to go down that route. They will be in for a repeat disappointment, As I cannot see any outside interest being declared as TG have withdrawn from BITS.

Equally, can any other party produce all the documentation the present process requires in the next few months when it can take years to get this far? I doubt it

The TG cannot afford to have tender process after tender process poorly supported, it will tell its own story to outside IPP's

No news from any of the other potential suspects via RNS and nothing from the TG despite the envelopes being opened in public. Assumes that the public opening would have taken place by now

Anyone reading this Bb today would think the tender process was entirely Kibo specific

It is Tanzanian energy specific

Anyone would think with the umber of victims here that Kibo is being victimized, it is not and neither are you. This process defines what ''in country risk '' is all about.

The 600mw

appears to be split into two parts the first part being MOU and the subsequent 300mw which can only be added to in the same location as a scale able event.

Despite what some seem to think this does not mean the whole process has to be started again. Unless those who claim this have the evidence from the Tg to support this claim.

I would not be surprised if the tender documents are inclusive of full scaleability to 1000mw. 300mw for this year, 300mw for 2019 and final 400mw for 2020. Each year being capped for the location as already advised.
