We know that Kibo and EDL did not qualify out of phase 1. We do not know who has gone on to phase 2 or who else fell by the way side.

IF any have progressed to phase 2. What will be assessed during that process? if as some believe KIBO was turned down due to tariff rates.

I would have expected phase 1 to be about correct documentation and standing in Tanzania; no disputes or legal issue, right location, in effect stringent compliance analysis. Financial strength, ability to contract.

I would then expect phase 2 to be about financials and matching needs to the ability to connect go the grid.over agreed timescales.

We never knew about the phase 1 & 2 requirements, from the Tg point of view. As far as I can tell we still do not. LC may have no inkling as to what was due for phase 2 either, as Kibo never got that far.

Once lC has demystified this process. I am sure he will tell us, and may wish to delay this announcement until he has agreed a strategic review with partners for TZ.

Be nice to have this by month end, which for the impatient, is end of next week.

I listened again today and I am very interested in why there appeared to be emphasis that the Tanseco is only seen as a sole loss re off-take. I may have listened too much into that part, yet I get the feeling that there may be other potential off-takers.

Industry has done so many self sufficient power plans that do not involve Tanesco, so Tanesco loses income and they are being criticized for that loss. Charging grid fees to Kibo for distribution may be an alternative. Taking up the SMl would certainly arouse interest as to why.

As I say, I may have listened far too much into that comment.

I understand why investors would like to see the BOD more aligned given the current SP.

The Ml comes in and the finance deal is seen as accretive, rather than desperate, it may be the SP will start to take care of itself

The mCPp was the flag ship project for the very good reason it was the first power project sat alongside mining interests. Not so sure it would be regarded that way sat along side MCIPP whose coal resource is much larger.

I do not believe that any of the other project countries will look at what has happened as being anything other than yet another TG screw up, their credibility as opposed to Kibo credibility.. Feed back from the Investors meeting provided on here by those who attended suggest that the BIPP guys are pretty much onside and pushing hard to get the project up and running. A complete opposite to the TG.
I would never assume that all African countries are going to behave in the same manner. For the moment I think I will be happy to stick with the FE guidance note for BIPP. The RNS that covers BIPP also covers finance in the same sentence as the other project attributes.

Non of us know what the detailed financial position is. We were I think lead to believe that with the Tanesco review due at end of March that finances would be covered until then. LC cannot leave it until that time and I suspect that it will be sorted out sooner than later.

Talk about consolidation with under 1 billion shares issued is I think a little premature at this time. The best time IMHO is to consider when the projects are further developed.

MED is not a coal based energy provider it is a gas driven provider, so there is diversification

I do not think for one minute that the Tg give a fig for their environment, if they did the selius game reserve would be untouched and the damage to the flood plains will not be happening. This not about coal clean or otherwise this is about the bulldozer want his face etched in the dam wall to be named after him.

How much power deficiency is in TZ now. Will that problem be solved by this dam, I doubt it as the growth in demand will outstrip the supply. Assuming the dam ever gets built.

Other SA countries will have a diversified base load for power. SA one prime example of what happens when you mess your coal base load up.

Looking forward to BIPP some time before end of Q1, this year before any one asks!!

Bearing in mind that LC has not been given the reasons by tanesco. What on earth do you expect our partners to say?

Also remember, Kibo has a large stake in Katoro, anything said and done does need to be mindful of this relationship.

I am sure that once lC has exhausted all discussions with options with Tanesco he will speak to the partners about what if any options can be looked at.

Until then we just have to wait.

I am expecting up dates on BIPP which may prove to be sop accretive. Supported by further updates on MED

MCIPP does seem to have gone very quiet except for an increase in the Shumba holding. The ML plus the December good news advised in the share holder letter are still outstanding
