Because I think the real benefit is going to come from early treatment which for me is a better scenario in any case. I think the interferon window of opportunity is within seven days of infection. Beyond 14 days post infection the virus can take a more severe path through the lungs into the vascular pathways and the start of the inflammation process. Probably too late at that stage for interferons to greatly decrease virus replication. It will depend on the severity of the hospital patients and I know they weren’t trialling on the sickest patients but I’ve always felt home trials are the jackpot with this treatment and if you watch Professor Holgate light up when talking about home trials maybe you would agree.

Uplift on COPD results if they come early. Inconclusive/no benefit hospital results but very good home trial results. SP being well north of where it is now but who knows what that level will be.

Well one thing we know for certain, it isn’t PI’s selling in 300,000 blocks. Supposing Lansdowne have been selling continuously they wouldn’t need to update the market with a TR1 until they stop or several days after they stop?

I’m almost looking forward to the next TR1 as much as the COPD results, around 1.5million from after trade on Friday and a 300,000 late trade today. If it is Lansdowne they must nearly be out surely!?.

I cannot really see it just disappearing. Unless I’m mistaken it’s rampaging through the countries that are behind us on lockdown protocols. Too early to say yet if we will have a second wave but based on what we know, that the virus can be passed on by a symptomatic people then it’s difficult to see how it can be stopped. Clearly we can’t stay on lockdown forever. On the Diamond Princess there were 700 infected passengers, three quarters of whom had the virus but were asymptomatic. The Singapore government discovered that someone caught the virus attending a church group. They realised that they had caught it (through cctv study) because they had sat in the same seat as a person who had travelled in from Wuhan for a prior service earlier that day. The Wuhan individual didn’t prove positive until several days later. How do you stop that?.

Long story short, the virus is using the epilitheal cells in the lungs to enter into vascular system allowing virus to attack other organs, and cause the strange phenomena that doctors have testified too including clotting around the body, toes turning dark red/black, seizures etc. Thus by my reckoning, protection of such cells (using SNG001) which are found in large numbers particularly in the lungs can only give a big antiviral boost to the patients suffering. Tie this in with the comments by Richard Marsden and the recent Prof Holgate interview and their desire to tackle the problem early (within 72 hrs post infection) and I believe we could well be onto a winner. I think it’s more than reason to think Lansdowne have reduced further. I’d be amazed if they haven’t. Next couple of days should be illuminating on that front. I’ve noticed often trades of 10,000 being fed in even on quiet days that’s not including big behind the scene trades. Maybe a few big sellers still from the placing shares too but as we are nearly at those levels with the SP I’m starting to think the big selling may be done. It would be about time, with Griffiths then Lansdowne and the placing shares this SP hasn’t been able to run free for quite some time. It’s only placing shares being sold in chunks at 43p imo. Hopefully a better week ahead. Be nice to get the TR1 as regards Lansdowne.

Probably nothing but I’ve just had a tweet that Genedrive are now following NHS England. Considering that there has been a lot of comment about GDR not dealing with them CEO did reference them quite a bit in one of the interviews last week. Be interesting to see if anything develops on that front.

On a dog walk yesterday to and around a local park in Kent their was clear breaking of social distancing and group meetings. I counted a group of 16 teenage lads with an equivalent number girls group sat within 50 yards. Sure enough the old bill turned up in three vehicles. As soon as they made their way onto the park the groups dispersed. Even went to get a Chinese takeaway last night and I was the only one wearing gloves and mask still. Kent is currently one of the worst affected counties in England and I can’t say I’m surprised at that. Politically and economically it will be a disaster if we are asked to go into lockdown again for any meaningful period.

SP to one side I think we should acknowledge how well SNG have done to organise and commence home trials of the drug in the limited time they have had. Unless anyone can show me otherwise they are the only company in the world running COVID19 trials in the home/care home setting. Quite some achievement and I take my hat off to them and all their hard work. I hope they get the desired results as the whole team deserve it. Whilst we are all in our gardens this weekend they are and have been grafting away for the good of everyone.

Same here Not now. Lets face it though this may not even be a long term play. My feeling is if you've been sat in SNG for the last 10 years it is long term. This is the endgame really. Other posters on here believe we could be around three weeks away from SNG COPD trial data being made public, I'm not sure if thats correct but it certainly is possible. On top of that hospital trial results in July and then home trials later in summer, hopefully no later than August. So in the COVID bubble might seem a long way away, but it really isn't.

Duble D- Certainly not ignoring it but I have to be honest ive just topped up again at 44.7p. Aim is highly volatile as we all know. I have faith in the company and drug. Wouldnt have bought here in the first place otherwise. Let me ask you a question Duble D, do you know any real data to suggest the trial is a flop or that it won't help against COPD?. As you say not too far above the placement price now and that was heavily oversubscribed. What was true three months ago is just as true now. Just need patience. I agree that is a difficult thing to master but I believe ultimately will be rewarded. All opinions of course, but i'm backing mine with my hard earned :).

We all have to do what we think is best from an investing viewpoint so all the best to you. Sorry to hear about your father, hopefully he may get help with his diagnosis from this drug or maybe elsewhere. At least this virus has enabled bio techs and drug researchers to expidite their works which hopefully will accelerate the help required by sick people in many fields.

I wouldnt agree with your assessment of the virus disappearing though, I think that is dead wrong. This thing can pass through the population at will as it can be carried without showing symptoms and is highly contagious with a 2-14 day incubation period. The only way socities have managed to keep the numbers down, as we all know is by locking us down for months. Still no Vaccine or likely to be one for some time if ever and effective therapeutics still currently lacking. Apparently we are now being told climatic (hot/cold) conditions have no impact on the virus either. It isnt going anywhere imo.
