Testing on vulnerable people in care homes. This news just broken on the BBC. Is it me or could this be a massive aid to SNG’s trial recruitment. They said in the protocol that they could broaden the net if indeed they are struggling for numbers. What other drug is trialling in a care home setting?:)

Jakman- if you go back to the proactive interview that was one of the cards on the table expressed by the CEO. The drug is a lot more saleable with efficacy from phase II trials in COPD and COVID. Clearly need fortune with the trials but I don't see why they won't be positive. Will big pharma's await Phase III. I dont think so. AZN were at one point willing to pay over £200 million for SNG001. What value will it have now after potential success in the above trials?. Then compare with the current market cap. The risk for me is already in the current SP imo.

Does seem a little like everyone is ****ahoop about beating the virus when in fact it hasn't gone anywhere, reduced certainly in the UK after months of lockdown, but what happens when we all come out to play?. Primary school kids not back till September now and if we don't have a New Zealand type grip on this by October then it will almost certainly be a lot worse again in the usual flu/cold season. People started coming in from abroad who aren't doing the two week quarantine period either, like the guy caught on ITV news last night. Albeit most foreign countries have less infection rate than we do. I think we are living a dream if we think we have this cooked. 7 million confirmed infections globally but how many who haven't been tested have had it in the wider community outside hospitals or care homes setting?. People who think therapeutics won't be needed really do not know what they are talking about.

Ghia- yeah iv'e noticed tonight. It might take the SP to rise before we get back to some sensible order we shall see. Funny how the doomsters and oddballs turn up on bad days and today was one no hiding that fact but there are a few twists and turns left yet i feel with this one.

As regards our mutual idiot. I take comfort from the fact if we were to meet in a dark alleyway he wouldn't be the one walking out on his feet. Have a good evening.

Ghia- Don't know about you i've never been so glad to be filtered :). Think we need to get back to the days when decent opinions and research were posted on here. No problem with people taking a different or even negative view but when its done with a clear agenda and no supportive evidence just becomes diatribe. Anyways GLA, lets hope for a better rest of the week.

I agree Ghia lots of first time posters here who are suddenly experts. You have to laugh really otherwise it would wind you up.

Thats why I don't beleieve selling will continue below this level tbh. Institutions who bought in at 35p are not going to sell below that level unless they want to lose money and P.I's who bought in pre 35p levels are likely to have sold already or are researched investors and won't sell anyway. I'm chuffed to have bought in again at 36.9p today.

is it 149m? I read 120m somewhere, anyways that makes it even harder to see how price dropped 12.6% on a day when only 3.35% of shares were traded (based on 149m shares in issue)

Katier- totally get that, me included btw but you still need to ask yourself what is the reason for the SP change? Unless someone knows something we don't which I don't think they do then it is II's selling and sentiment driving the SP nothing to do with the product or potential value of such a drug. SP's change quickly as we all know. The fundamentals do not. Its all opinions but i believe the sellers today got sweated out. This is a small cap so II's in general probably won't take large positions, so with current II's selling (if they are) then MM's can overreact with the SP, short term at least. Look at today for example, just over 5 million shares traded not all of which were sells but the SP dropped 12.6% or thereabouts. Just over 120,000,000 shares in issue altogether. Therefore 4% of the company shares were traded today, yet the MM's dropped the price 12.6%. Doesn't correlate to the actual days events. Thats why i believe a correction must be coming.

Whether it's II's selling or PI's losing their nerve/patience I really couldn't say but all I know is that the professionalism of the company and trials hasn't changed, neither has the product which is many years in the making targeted at the lungs to protect against viral infections which is where exacerbated COPD and COVID patients are suffering most. Can anyone actually tell me if their is a sound reason excluding the SP why this company or product is any different now than three months ago? Whether COVID is coming or going, Goverments and Health authorities will still need active early treatment anti-virals moving forward.

True but you are forgetting the potential here as a treatment for COPD completely detached from COVID. Also, the middle east and other muslim countries are now showing a bounce in infection figures due to EID festival. I know someone in Saudi who has confirmed this with parts of the country going into a second lockdown. Who knows how we will fare now shops etc are reopening. Parts of the country (south west and north west) potentially above R>1. Very much in the balance imo.

I’ve gone in again at 36.7p couldnt resist it. Can’t believe we are nearly down to the placing price which was well oversubscribed. As for clotting protecting the lungs will benefit that hugely as it will stop virus penetrating through to the vascular system where clots are forming. Will also help prevent clots on lungs themselves and assist in protecting cells which provide oxygenisation trade off.

thats true regasrding hospital data but i'm feeling confident home trial data will be positive and hopefully COPD too. Three big markets and three bites of the cherry so to speak. Again im very interested if you can show any data suggesting Interferon Beta doesn't suppress virus replication. This is what it comes down too regarding trial success ultimately.

Nolupus- thats the thing we are only observers aren't we. For all we know there could be a deal in place subject to phase two trials being a success. We just don't know. Personally i'd be happy with a fund raise if we get through phase two. Thats the hard part imo and the current market cap would need to be upgraded severely.

AZN were initially willing to pay over £220m for SNG001. That was before Phase II trials. What is the drug worth if it has Phase II efficacy against COVID and COPD. Phase III is normally a rubber stamping job in most cases (over 80% pass through this having done PhaseII successfully) SNG001 we are pretty certain is well tolerated as its been used and well tolerated in all trials so far.

I suspect if results are good from the trials SNG won't need to take it further. Someone with bigger pockets will come in and assist them. Also they may well receive expidited approvals especially in view of a probable second wave. Lots of variables ahead but I feel sure SNG are three or four steps ahead of us in future planning.
