Jag- well done for holding. Been a rollercoaster and probably a few highs and possibly lows to come. This and GDR are the only share I’ve ever bought and I sold my GDR to get back fully in this at 34p bought higher with the rest but not too bad. I did feel low thirties was a bit of a gift. Easy to say with hindsight but it felt like bottom at the time. Just need positive news flow and we will sail away from here. GL.

Something else I was thinking about apart from SNG001 as a stand-alone early treatment was the possibility of a mixed drug aerosol treatment with another drug which would say promote T cell production which would kill virus cells. Just found it interesting when AZN said they were looking at COPD inhaled mixed drug combinations at Southampton. SNG are obviously based at Southampton working on COPD amongst other things and if people have heard the recent professor Holgate podcast he directly mentions the possibility of SNG001 being used as a combination therapy. Just find the timing of all that interesting. May well be nothing in it but wouldn’t surprise me.

No. I think I’m down as saying they could drop anytime. I think we enter official summertime this week don’t we?. We were told Summer so who knows. I fancy it coming before hospital covid results so who knows. But we are approaching that too.

Share has been feeling and trading different for a week or so now. Shouldn't say it too loudly but hopefully we are clear of the seller/s. Just seems to be nudging up a bit which was much needed. Plus, hopefully if and when we get good news it should be boosting up from a higher level. Shame for the people that got shook out in the low thirties but patience is a virtue as they say.

Their are still roughly 1,000 people per day in the UK testing positive for COVID-19 so with this being expanded nationally hopefully the required numbers will be filled quickly. Given the option of a potential hospital visit or taking this drug I know what my choice would be. Clearly recruitment was slower than anticipated within a 40 mile radius so the right decision to expand the catchment area. This was mentioned as a possible development in the last RNS.

I think the recent study in Hong Kong found that no interferons were present in patients with Covid that had an underlying condition. It completely wipes them out. Which then permits unchecked virus replication and after 7-10 days from onset of symptoms encourages the cytokines storm. Hence why the application of SNG001 is hopefully going to help avoid the ‘second week’ when people who deteriorate end up on oxygen/ventilator.

I would hope that SNG know more about dosing and correct levels than we do on here. Also I’m no expert at all but I don’t understand why a COPD patient with flu or a cold would not equal a COPD patient with Covid regarding dosage amount. Flu virus must replicate quickly as I believe symptoms show from 1-4 days, Covid can incubate for 2-14 days. Obviously catching someone with Covid late or at the point where they need oxygen or a ventilator won’t be SNG001’s target audience, so to speak. So providing patients are treated within 72 hrs of infection as per the Home trial parameter then the dosage which shows efficacy against COPD sufferers from that trial should suffice in Covid trial too? Unless I’m missing something.

See. On a good day our resident pessimists disappear. Not one message in the last 40-50 at least. Don't doubt they will return it just makes me laugh. When this share starts to motor properly i don't think we will see their likes again.:).

Fatgreek- bit of a silly comparison comparing it to Spanish flu second wave. This is the same virus pretty much just not being eradicated. The second wave of Spanish flu mutated to a virus that could kill within 24 hrs. The first wave of Spanish flu was a very mild condition by all accounts. Covid hasn’t and hopefully never will mutate to the same extent, with the same mortality rate.

Herbie- that’s completely wrong. Aspirin? Let’s hope you don’t get COVID. It’s not a binary choice between drugs. SNG001 should help patients in the early stages before they become critical patients. Or would you rather become critical then take dexamethasone and increase your chances by 30%.?

I believe this is a great advance on what we have currently which let’s face it isn’t much. NHS and the recovery trials should be applauded it will save lives. For Covid patients that don’t need oxygen this drug has no benefit according to results. The whole purpose of SNG001 is to tackle the virus in vulnerable people to stop them progressing to the point where they require oxygen/ventilators. Therefore there is no overlap between the different drugs/treatment. The Covid fight requires as many drugs as possible that work. It should all be applauded.

Their is clearly frustration with the current SP, but SP's change for good and bad. Think i enjoyed this board more when it was more about the PI research and positive discussion about the drug and SNG. Think most company detail and info about interferon/II'S/plusses and minuses have been noted on here already. Now the chat is more about the slide in SP which we are all very much aware of, the doomsters (you know who you are) do not really need to remind us constantly about that, we are invested here. Time for the share to do the talking really and that probably won't happen until we get results which for COPD could be tomorrow or could be within the next few weeks. Covid end of July. Home trial data sometime after that. It is a patient sit. At least Royal Ascot is on and the footie starts up tomorrow so we all have distraction!.
