Thats alright everyone makes errors. Quite a few on here have done a lot of homework which doesn't guarantee anything but all the research so far suggests Interferons will be a big help to virus sufferers whether it be COPD or Covid. Just need to be patient and wait for results imo.

The reason it didnt appeal to AZN was the market of such a group of people was deemed too small a group to be viably commercial. Different kettle of fish with COPD as this is a huge market with copd sufferers with virus infections making up the second biggest population of people being admitted to hospital.

jphillips- thats actually wrong. It didnt show effect against Asthma itself but showed a lot of promise and proven up regulation of lung improvement in asthma sufferers with a virus such as a cold or flu. In other words efficacy aginst a virus. Guess what COVID is a virus. Please check your facts before spreading incorrect assumptions.

I would be surprised if SNG were not part of the Link sale to Acacia. Otherwise you maybe would have expected Link to sell too recently, given the pressure to return funds to the woodford investors. Now we know why they didnt sell, they already had this lined up. Apparently been negotiating this for a few months.

Be interesting to see if the above are buying Links share in SNG.

So MM's drop spread to 43-44 to accomodate two sales (one tiny) two minutes from close, hadn't touched 43 all day and then after close put through a late trade of 85,000 at 43.50p. So from my view dropped the spread to accommodate the trade. Also two 140,000 buys from yesterday put through after close. MM's doing theor best to manipulate but i believe we are only going upwards from here on in.

Plus Novacyt’s test requires storage on arrival at -20c whilst GDR test can be stored in temperatures up to 30c. Novacyt’s test would therefore require large refrigerated storage facilities which is ok in the west but in Africa and India not so prevalent.

I was looking at the comparison between different tests and their Specificity and Sensitivity values. Whilst GDR had 100% sensitivity, Novacyt’s was <_95%. Meaning as I understood it that if testing 100 people you could potentially have 5 people providing a false negative with Novacyt test. Thus five infected people could be walking around spreading the virus believing they are in the clear.

I think I know what test I would buy out of the two.:).

Some earlier comments rather unfair on the CEO in my opinion. In a few months GDR have taken from concept a test kit through to CE marking and pending approvals from FDA and WHO. The qu ality of their PCR test is superior to Novacyts in terms of sensitivity which will stop their being false negatives. And unlike Avacta they actually have a product they can sell, which I’m sure they are as I write. Also the added advantage of not requiring cold storage is a massive plus when pitching to India and Brazil and other global markets.

Peel were still sat on the sell for large periods today although they did move off a few times so hopefully less domination of that position may indicate less pressure to sell. Interesting to see if that happens again tomorrow.

And COPD data could be back within two weeks so they will need to play the violins fast. Most people left here now will be waiting for results anyway.

So you sold at around 43p when you suggest it’s a 50-50 they will either treble in price or halve in price.? Given those odds alone you should be diving in head first! Maybe share trading is not for you. I’ll have the other 10,000 at 41p :).

Indeed Crookie, but as they say trial could be finished before they attain 120 patients in that respect. Also as I understand it they can widen the net in search of Covid sufferers if they deem fit.

Did anyone else spot this from the update posted on SNG website:

Levy, if the trial results are a success no one has a chance of getting in at 59p. That includes the mother in law and Warwickl Lad :)

Nolupus- I don’t write things to make me feel good. You have to weigh up the research undertaken by others etc. Their has been a distinct lack of research with interferons administered quickly but all indications are this will be a massive boost if taken within 72hrs of infection. Their was work done in this respect on macaques with Marburg virus and the benefit when they were treated within 72 hrs was huge. So I’ve had that thought for quite some time haven’t changed my mind in the slightest and bought having known that. Now improvements in testing gives them the opportunity to detect and treat quickly this should be a solid performer moving forwards. DYOR. I should add that the hospital patients will have been cherry picked so hopefully there is benefit as you say NOTNOW but for me that’s an added bonus as the improvement in home patients will be big compared to hospital trial.
