To follow on from the observation that Lithium / Battery / Cinovec have all been dropped from the CEZ presentations for what is now six quarterly reports. Another observation from the latest presentation (Sept 2025) - page 36 & 37 on the presentation confirms the closure of coal fired power stations and their re purposing. In particular, I'm interested in p37 which shows a map of the existing power stations and their future redevelopment use. Prunerov is to be transitioned to 'Gas engines,biomass, gas boiler', now correct me if I am wrong, but is that not the site to be used for Lithium Processing Plant and which caused such a hullabaloo as the main cause of DFS delay? Don't wish to spook anyone, but this just does not feel right🤷‍♀️

HappyL....I beg to differ on your assumption that CEZ have a commitment to Cinovec. As I have previously posted, CEZ had previously always included around two pages of a 70 page quarterly presentation dedicated to battery and Lithium. For the last 4 presentations, these two pages have been omitted, not a good show of their commitment 🤷

Unless it is added back on at the next presentation, I would put it to everyone's consideration that things are not happening any time soon on the project🤔

Good summary IB, I took like the reference to transparency and stakeholder alignment. It is only natural that two entities with around 10% stake each would want to form an alliance to get a place on the board....this helps hold the company to account and I would assume it aligns with all shareholder aspirations 👍

It's a good project supportive article, and hopefully it will gain some momentum.

I could have put a positive slant to this by referencing my post of 2 Oct (LG Chem)....😉

Now seems dubious IMO. The last corporate presentation they even referenced they have any involvement in Cinovec was Sept 2024 (see below link p41/42);

Since then they have published a further four presentations without even as much as a sentence in the full documents (latest below);

That is now over a year that they have dropped this supposed high profile critical development from their presentations, and this being a highly critical year for the project (crma, dfs, fid etc). Does anyone else feel like me, in finding this a lack of commitment? It has rankled me since the first time they ditched the reference, but another poster at the time explained they had been in contact with CEZ about this and the reason they had omitted the project was that there was more forthcoming news to present. Well we are allegedly in DFS/FID year, is that not forthcoming enough to reinstate?

Well Happy, the article indicates the money is required for battery materials and Bio....they have the largest battery factory in Europe, situated in Poland, and a Bio R&D facility in Germany🤔

The EU is big on the full traceability and environmental impact of batteries and will tighten up their battery passport system when they have secured supply chains. So, you don't need too much of an imagination to connect the dots🙈

Yes, our RECAPE submission does require some information which is being generated by the DFS work, for example on site layout and mine planning. However, as we have stated, we expect to have the required information available before final completion of the DFS and, hence, can submit the RECAPE application for the environmental licence before the DFS is finished.

There are no approvals necessary for the DFS itself, it is only the environmental licencing process which requires approvals by Portugal's environment agency, APA.

IB, and I don't buy it that RECAPE has been delayed because of DFS when SAV specifically responded to a question recently that the delay in DFS would not have a knock on effects for the environmental license?

This does not sit comfortably for me, they cannot say one thing, then only a week down the line say the total opposite?

The reason I asked them the question was because I expected a delay in RECAPE because of the DFS delay. I was over the moon when they confirmed to me that this would not be the case as the parts required from the DFS would be complete....now I'm not happy at all with their communication👿

Unless maybe they want to downplay expectations now, to give us a Xmas present later🤷

It's just a drag if you expect SP growth, but it'll come with the supreme court judgement 🍀

LithP, I thought as you about RECAPE, and was concerned that it would be delayed because of the DFS being put back. I received the following response from SAV Re this;

So hopefully the Environment License will be issued before the end of 2025....🥳

Drip feed delays definitely concern me, if not watched closely they can turn to a stream, then a torrent 😭

It becomes even more worrying if the company has known in advance there would be knock on effects, just not divulged. Then transparency is in question, and trust becomes an issue. Look no further than EMH if you want a prime example😬
