European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated on Wednesday that she had a "lively and interesting discussion on the state of play across the list of outstanding issues" with United Kingdom's Prime Minister Boris Johnson. She added that the two sides "gained a clear understanding of each other's positions" in the Brexit trade deal talks.
Striking a more negative tone, Von der Leyen also said that the EU and the UK "remain far apart" and that the negotiating teams "should immediately reconvene to try to resolve these essential issues" and that a decision will be reached by the end of the weekend.

Google LLC's Youtube announced on Wednesday that it will "disallow content alleging widespread fraud or errors" altered the results of the November 3 United States presidential election.

The United States President Donald Trump administration rejected an option to purchase additional doses of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine last summer when the biopharmaceutical company made an offer to the government, The New York Times reported on Monday citing people familiar with the matter.
Currently, Pfizer may not be in a position to supply more vaccine doses to the US until June as it already agreed to provide multiple batches of the vaccine to other countries, the report said.
Therefore, Trump plans to secure more vaccine doses by signing an executive order "to ensure the US government prioritizes getting the vaccine to American citizens before sending it to other nations," according to a draft statement viewed by the NYT.
